The Grace and Faith is GODS not mans...man has absolutely ZERO to do with any part of salvation(deliverance) except "receiving it" (and it IS NOT a choice) ...it is a process not an event.NONE have "been saved"it is an infinite process..ALL are BEING saved(in their own order) completely BY and THROUGH Gods work ...NOT our works NOR our faith...how do does it manifest...
You are just making up your own definition for words.
My advice to you is to actually look at the Bible and see how it defines those terms, and forget all the theory you have heard in your life.
You have been propagandized and brainwashed into believing in a man made system of salvation which is a far cry from what the Apostles like Paul taught.

Seee...stuck on "faith" and no mention of "works." Darn that heresy. You sir, are wrong.

Mankind has something to do with gaining Heaven. Do not preach falsehoods. It sure is a "choice." God desires our true love.

You're right on one thing, Justification is a "process" so why do some in Protestantism preach OSAS?

God bless you jim,

Cooperating with God's grace to LIVE a holy life.
So what is this "grace" you are talking about? Some sort of magical quality that is imparted to you?
Biblical grace is God giving you permission to be joined with Him through Christ. It is not a special quality that you get that makes you better than the next person. That is faith.
We are saved by faith, but it is not just a simple believing. Paul makes it a technical term in his teaching, where it is the equivalent of the Law in the old system that Jesus' new system replaced.
In the old covenant system, someone remained in good standing in Israel by keeping the Mosaic Law. In the new covenant system, someone remains in good standing by living by faith, which is a spirit that is of God that is given to us through Christ that writes a moral law on our hearts for us to follow.

Hi,

I just saw this your reply. Thank you for asking. There is this wonderful book by a German theologian. He explains grace so well. His name is Father Mathias Scheeben. His book is called The Glories of Divine Grace. I think you can read it on the Net. I've never heard anyone speak about grace like he does.

jim, "grace" is God's presence. If you look at the Latin Vulgate, the first Bible or the English translation of
the Vulgate, the Douay-Rheims Bible. St. Jerome translated the Father's first words in greeting Mary as you read in Luke:

"Hail, full of grace."

See, Mary was full of God. www.drbo.org...

You receive God's grace for the first time at your Baptism, that is water Baptism as Jesus explained to Nicodemus. Water Baptism removes Original Sin from your soul so God can dwell there. Do you know
why Catholics may seem like they go on about the need of Confession. Because, God CANNOT be where
sin is, you lose God's presence in your soul AFTER Baptism when you commit a mortal (serious) sin.
A young child may not know, meaning you must be of the age of reason.

Confession restores God's GRACE, His presence in your soul. Non-Catholic Christians do not believe in
Sacramental confession to a priest so they must from the heart, repent of and confess their mortal sins
to God personally.

love,

colbe
