Question about multiple UFO sightings

There have been many sightings of UFO'S that can somehow splinter into two or three seperate pieces almost like fire works, then leave at a high rate of speed. Or vice versa 2 or 3 seperate ufo's comming together to form one complete ship.
Are we seeing multiple ships joining together? or is this just an optical illusion.

I have read many books on ufo phenom but this question has never been answered to my satisfaction, any ideas about this.

i dono. theres a post somewhere on this forum with a video of what your talking about. my personal opinion is when its three different ones its still connected by large arms or somethin and brought back in. i dont think its 3 seperate craft or objects.
