Just another shooting to add to the pile. Luckily, it sounds like no one was killed in this attempt.

This time, it was at Santa Monica State University (and Santa Monica is where Obama is hanging out today). Maybe the shooter had a bigger message in mind, with the event happening right down the street from the Democratic luncheon.

Hopefully this story remains relatively tame.

Well this one seems to go to the Egyptian Uprising blow back. The Jordanian Royal Military man moves to Ohio. He brings his whole family to the US. He died a short time ago at 75. His daughter moves to California. Her husband has a amateur radio licence at the house that was burned down. Her sister is Neda Zawahiri who has videos posted on the internet speaking about how the Egyptian Uprising is such a great thing. But then you have a son who is pissed off his family does this type of thing to there own kind in the Middle East. They put him in a mental institution because he threatened to go Jihad. Well he finally did go Jihad and killed his family then tried to go after Americans.

Could you provide a link for this? I'm trying to google around, but am not finding any such information. The closest I can find is a video of the police officer saying that the gunman was a white male in his 20-30s. I suppose jordanians can be white as well, but I get the feeling people would be able to tell the difference. I did find news articles about him being in a mental institution, though.

I have been crying my eyes out for 2 days after leaving my son at college the other day. I had had a procedure done on both knees the day before so was in a very vulnerable state anyway, but then with extreme pain I laid down yesterday evening to elevate and ice my knees, and heard this report!

IT almost literally made me pass out.

SO many bad events happening at US Colleges and Universities. It really is concerning to say the least.

Seems with so many changes to our educational systems they are becoming far more dangerous then ever before.

I am more than freaked out.

Early leak from anonymous sources so who knows how valid. Other reports are stating that law enforcement are not identifying the gunman until they contact his family, who are out of the country.

Arezou Zakarai, who was in the library at the time of the shootings, told ABC News she was happy to be alive after the chilling ordeal.

Now let us take a quick moment for a reminder. From the same article.

Surveillance video footage released today shows fearful Santa Monica, Calif., restaurant-goers ducking under tables as a man, whom ABC News has identified as 23-year-old John Zawahri, opens fire outside, part of a shooting rampage in which four people were killed.

There was more to it. It was terrorism. How about the note nobody wants to talk about?

www.rawstory.com...

The note also bid goodbye to friends and expressed hope that his mother, who was estranged from Zawahri’s father and was out of the country at the time of the killings, would be provided for financially, Lewis said.

It is common for terrorist to have there family taken care of if some one in there family becomes a martyr.

www.cbsnews.com...

The lawsuits allege that Arab Bank, Credit Lyonnais, and two other foreign banks with New York offices were key to an intricate system that moved cash to aid terrorists and their families. Accounts at Arab Bank allegedly were used to pay cash rewards to families of suicide bombers and other so-called Palestinian "martyrs." Records show money was supplied by two groups on the U.S. list of foreign terrorist organizations: Hezbollah and Hamas. The terrorist who attacked Mark Sokolow's family was Wafa Idris: the first female suicide bomber in the conflict. "The family of Wafa Idris presented documentation to Arab Bank showing that they are the family of the woman who committed this attack," Sokolow said. "And as soon as the bank was satisfied they made a payment to the family of the equivalent of $5,316." The suit alleges that a charity called the Saudi Committee for the Support of the Intifada al-Quds organized millions of dollars in payments from Hamas.
