I posted a reminder...as that is a new "rule"

I am willing to go and mark entries for members after the edit window has closed.......or if you get inspired and already have three entries.....as long as you guys don't overwhelm me

As long as you work with the size limits of avatar/backgrounds, hard drawing is certainly aceepted

I was only planning on three entries and I hit that "OFFICIAL ENTRY" limit. So I'm good and thanks for the heads up on that.

I told you guys I downloaded GIMP....and I have created something for the rookie side. But I can't figure out why it will not show properly as a background/avatar.

Do you HAVE to upload a background and an avatar...Or can I merge it all together into one image?

I can't help but notice that since you posted the reminder of the 3 entry limit, the contest thread has died.

You might want to reconsider that limit. It cuts back on the creativity and discourages members from posting until they come up with something really super great.

What made the other contests so much fun was being able to post as many entries as we wanted, allowing us to explore our creativity and experiment with new things. Now, its just 3 entry pics and out.

I think the limit tends to stifle creativity more than anything.

Valid points. I think the main reason they did that is so there are less stars to count and less things to keep track of.

I am not entering anything yet solely because I am not having time to do it. But you can bet, for sure, that I will have 3 entries. And I have 2 unofficial entries I will probably put up tonight.

I think there is a tad bit of confusion going on.

EVERYONE can post as much as they want.

You're allowed to mark THREE of your posts as official entries. (See bfft's post above, he has official, and unofficial entries coming up.)

The judge will be counting the stars of only those entries marked as official.

The rules say, enter as many times as you wish.

As long as you only mark three entries as "official", you are good.

What I said earlier was that I see no "official" entries yet. That's when the posting stopped. Please continue posting.

I do see snark has made an "official" entry. Nice artwork.

Hope that helps, and DTOM, correct me if I'm wrong.

Besides, DTOM has already indicated that she would edit posts and change "entry status", here in this post.

Meaning we can change our three "official" to just entries, and allow for us to pick our three "best" entries.

Personally, I really like to see all the entries, and think DTOM should get our appreciation for organizing these fun contests.

Nope....members can post as many entries as they like....but only three get votes...and I am willing to make a change should a member decide to make a different entry "official"

I'm hoping we can get a lot of great entries going....for voting, for showing off the talents of members and just fun
