Turkish Political Leader Responds To Protests

Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu was interviewed on CNN International on information about the protests going on in Turkey.

He claims that there is no intention for building a mall, the purpose is to just expand the square.
He also claims that they never supported use of Tear Gas and water Cannons...





Im not believing much that comes out of this mans mouth.

Turkey is not boiling just because of a square. there are political reasons. people are angry because Turkey's borders with Syria and Iraq have become home of Terrorists. people do not want that their government makes instabilities in their neighbor countries. these instabilities have had it's effects on Turks too.
they do not want their foreign policy as an Ottomanist. but Ottomanists who are dependent on Washington even more than seculars.
