I had a bizzare thought today about the legend of Jesus returning. Im not religious and not even convinced there was a person called Jesus. Anyway thats not the purpose of this thread debating if Jesus was real or not.

Back to my bizzare thought. Jesus said he would return one day i think, or mabey thats what the bible said im not sure where i heard it as i have never read the bible.

Anyway, so Jesus will be ressurected and return to earth. What was not made clear was in what form he would return. My theory is that his spirit has been ressurected in the energetic form of the internet. Yes Jesus has returned he is the internet.

Before thinking this is really crazy think for a moment at the the technological developments being made which bring the mind of man closer and closer into the cyber reality. The ultimate goal of course is to transmit the mind consciouness of a human being into the computer cyber reality where it can live for eternity. Is this not the eternal life that was promised?

Also think, the son of man made in the image of God like a computer generated avatar. Yes mabey Jesus really has returned we just havent worked out yet hes back.

Yeah I think everyone is taking the piss,
If you wanted to be clever and insightful reading the bible or some simple digest of it might have helped.

Jesus has resurrected and returned to heaven, He will return to earth when it is in crisis beyond human help.
Just a little distorted in your understandings.

Reality is thinking you have a clue when you dont know anything, yeah I have done that as well.

Man I had heard that many religions grow in America in one day , I didn't believe my ears.

jesus has resurrected himself for his second coming in the form of the Internet!,

I'd be more inclined to think the Internet was the anti-christ than Christ.
Christ is pure truth and wisdom and love.
The internet if full of just the opposite.

(no .. I don't think the internet is the antichrist ... I'm just saying that to compare with)

What he said is just as believable as what's in the Qu'ran.

You should really read and research a thing before you make a conclusion or theory about it. To do otherwise is ignorance.

• What attributes, qualities, personality traits, or teachings attributed to Jesus are similar or the same as the Internet? If Jesus is the Internet, then surely there must be some similarities between the two.

You incorrectly and falsely stated

What was not made clear was in what form he would return.

The Bible does indeed explain the form and method of Jesus' second coming:

"I turned around to see the voice that was speaking to me. And when I turned I saw seven golden lampstands, and among the lampstands was someone like a son of man, dressed in a robe reaching down to his feet and with a golden sash around his chest. The hair on his head was white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire. His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of rushing waters. In his right hand he held seven stars, and coming out of his mouth was a sharp, double-edged sword. His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance.

- Revelation 1:12-16

I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and wages war. His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. Coming out of his mouth is a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. “He will rule them with an iron scepter.” He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written:

King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

- Revelation 19:11-16

And since you are stating that Jesus is here now, it is ironic that Jesus called you a liar centuries ago:

If anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. See, I have told you ahead of time.

- Matthew 24:23-25

This thread is as ridiculous as "Ancient Alien" theorists claiming that Jesus was an extraterrestrial without even explaining how Jesus' teachings and words correlate to the subject.

Peace.

At first, I thought the idea was silly but then I looked up the criteria Christians have for determining if Jesus is real. I think there is a good argument to be made here. The criteria I gathered is directly from This site I found but then I compared it to the intrewebz.

- Jesus said to His disciples, “In my Father’s house are many rooms,” and “I am going there to prepare a place for you.” Then "I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am". He will “transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.”

- - This sounds almost like the brain uploading we've been playing with. Some believe science is heading to a place where people can upload their consciousness and live forever in cyberspace (only it won't be as 80's Sci-fi as I just made it sound). If Jesus was the internet, he prepared rooms for his Christians so they could be uploaded to where he is.

- Jesus said in the bible "When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his throne in heavenly glory"

- - It could be argued that server data centers are each governed by its own angel and, of course, Jesus would have his throne in cyberspace itself.

- Jesus said, “ ‘At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn.’ ” And John the Revelator said, “Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him.”

- - The governments of the world's nations are mourning over the new power that people possess with the internet. It has been showing its power to topple regimes and rally people against evil corporate giants. Also, it comes from the sky from satellites.

- The apostle Paul said that those who “do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus . . . will be punished with everlasting destruction.” And he added that they will be destroyed “with the brightness of his coming.”

- - Jesus' gospel was concerning being good to the poor and how we treat one another. The internet creates more transparency and, with sites like Wikileaks, almost assures that large and bloated death machines and corporations that deprive the world of water and food will eventually be destroyed.

- So there will be two resurrections. Revelation says, “Blessed and holy are those who have part in the first resurrection.” That’s obviously the resurrection of the righteous. And “the rest of the dead”—that would be the wicked—“did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.”

- - The internet, once uploading consciousness is perfected, will be able to store lives. For those who are already dead, perhaps cloning and DNA awesomeness can bring back people as well. Obviously, we won't bring back the jerks until we have ways of curing them of their greed.

"caught up together . . . in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so [they] will be with the Lord forever"

I'm not a Christian but this is making me wish I had a position from which I could preach the good news of the Interwebz Jesus. I think we could just him "Jesus 2.0".

Or maybe Jesus will return within us? More and more people are waking up to the reality that the world is not as they thought. What if this awakening to the realities of this world and of who we truly are is the second coming?

Jesus came to shake up the religious system of his time, to correct it and expose it for what it really was. I think that time is coming again, where all religious systems will be exposed for what they truly are: money changers who keep us in the dark for their own benefit.

The internet is a great way to access information, and I think this access to information will ultimately lead to many others waking up to what's going on as well. It has already helped me a great deal to wake up personally.

How do you know the bible isn't exactly what he was talking about? The bible makes it pretty clear who it is pointing toward, don't you think?

Hello 3NL1GHT3N3D1. I have not come to endorse or propagate any religion.

The OP says he/she has never read the Bible, but yet goes on to give a theory about Jesus. This is truly and purely absurd. This is like a teacher who has never learned, or a doctor who does not know anatomy or physiology.
The blind leading the blind.

OP brought forth a theory based upon a Biblical figure, while admittedly ignorant of the Bible. What logic is this?

You ask me about the Bible? It is the work of man. Not only has it all been edited and revised throughout the centuries, but additionally, even the original Jewish Talmud was corrupted during Babylonian captivity, i.e., The Babylonian Talmud, which is the foundation of the Bible.

In your opinion, who is the Bible pointing to, and in what regards?

My research and study of the various Jewish, Christian, and apocryphal texts (which the OP lacks), leads me to the conclusion that:

• The "Old Testament" is a loosely-based historic account of the Hebrew people based upon a tyrannical LORD YHWH who endorses the racial superiority of the Hebrews and commands the genocide of non-Hebrew native Levantines.

• The Gospels attributed to Jesus illustrate eastern Buddhist-like concepts of compassion, altruism, enlightenment, philosophical alchemy, and inner divinity.

• The New Testament of Apostle Paul is a clear and complete contradiction to LORD YHWH's Old Testament and Jesus' Gospel.

Peace.

I agree with your points, sorry for assuming you were Christian.

I think the bible points toward Jesus being the one and only Messiah, and that version of Jesus is the counterfeit version created by the elites of the time.

While I believe Jesus existed, I do not believe he taught what Christianity and Paul claim he taught. I believe they usurped his true message and put forth their own in his name.

I believe that in a way there is truth in your op. Right now Jesus is working in the spirit world. There are two on here that i have suspected that Jesus sometimes speaks through. As far as his second coming goes he will be here in his flesh that was taken up. There is no need for him to have a second vessel.

Yes it is clear. He said he'd return in the same manner he left, which was in his physical body, and return to the Mount of Olives. So, no Jesus is not the internet, that is heresy.
