I am surprised there is no current thread about the Webbot predictions for 2013, since they are due to happen before June 22nd. By the way - I am not putting much credibility in those predictions. But they are eminent and dire - namely that there will be a "Global Coastal Event" threatening the west coast along with an internet black-out and other items. There was a good thread on ATS I read some time ago that fairly summarizes the predictions.
www.abovetopsecret.com...

Some at ATS I am certain follow the webbot more closely than I do. Maybe you know something more about these predictions?

I will predict nothing will happen. Webbot prediction does have a pseudo-scientific premise that I have always doubted - BUT this has been their major prediction for years and time is up on this.

Hmm. Ironic. I had a dream last night that WW3 kicked off and the date was June 19th. USA was invaded and the Chinese took our west coast fast, they entered in from Canada up north and steam rolled down through California. The Russians were attacking our interests in the middle east and fighting our allies in Europe. Eventually the nukes were launched and our missile shield proved worthless. Then i woke up.

Sometimes my dreams come true, and ill have deja vu. This dream was very detailed which kind of scares me.

Why do people still give this attention?? Has it EVER been right?

Worse than a late night TV psychic.

As Sherlock Holmes used to say, the best way to hide something is in plain sight. Money talks and B.S. walks...and these old fools have been blathering on way too much for too many years. Time for them to shut up.

Do you know of anything they have predicted accurately?

The biggest one was 9/11 - at least the webbot people claim it.

On ATS they posted
www.abovetopsecret.com...

You can goggle webbot accuracy and a number of pages come up. Sometimes they do appear to get things approximately right.

I am NOT saying I believe in the predictions - only these current ones are due now.

It appears that "remote viewers" have a similar situation in mind as webbot does, at least right now they do.

"...Remote viewers have been seeing similar things and taking note of temporal markers -- those things that happen in sequence before the event they view. It's not an exact science that can pinpoint a date when something will happen, but professionals know to look for specific markers that clue us in on a general part of the collective timeline. Courtney Brown and Major Ed Dames are two of the top RV spokespeople, and if you're interested in this, these are men worth listening to... and making your own conclusions after...."

Does anyone here subscribe to the webbot stuff? If so I would like to know what you think and what exactly they are saying at the project. There is no way I am paying anything to get their "newsletter."

It is predicting some kind of a tidal wave that will hit the west coast of the US and a "black-out" of the internet - possibly related to the fiber optic cables in the ocean.

The Internet is designed not to "black out", ever -- it was originally architected by the DoD to keep running even during a nuclear war. A country that has a single point of entry can isolate itself but cutting that connection, and a person, company or ISP can similarly be cut off, as they have a single point of contact, but the Internet, in general, would continue operating just fine if some fibre optic cables were cut.

Here is an old map of UUNet's backbone -- if the cable between the US and Japan, for example, was severed, traffic between those points would automatically be routed through the London -> Hong Kong -> Osaka -> Tokyo link. Things would slow down a bit, but it would still work.

I have no opinion as to the accuracy of the webbot predictions. Only that these things are what they predict and that if they are right it will happen by 6/22/13.

I was looking at your map - If they are right and if some tidal wave hit the whole west coast then wouldn't the internet in fact shut down - are not all the switching stations on the west coast??

Nope, traffic would just be rerouted to the east. If you lived on the west coast and there was a "pinch point" where there was only one connection along the line, and that was cut, you'd be cut off, but the rest of the world would merrily roll along.

I thought the deadline for the Coastal Global Event was going to be end of last month...

and Courtney Brown decided to task his RV'ers with seeing what Christ was up to at the time of the crucifixion. They came back with impressions that the subject was calm and happy and in a nice green shady place. Hardly top of a hill getting tortured and murdered.

Courtney decided that this was proof of his theory that Christ was replaced by a patsy, courtesy of the much-maligned Judas in order to save Christ's life.

No word on how this impacts the whole 'Christ died for your sins' meme.

Don't worry; when the GCE conveniently doesn't happen, they'll just say we ended up in another timeline. Rinse, repeat in three months with another pensive posting by Mr. Webbot saying his goodbyes and Dr. Doom appearing on the George Noory show.

Didn't the webbot fail in some of its major 2012 "predictions?" And I use that term rather loosely. In fact, this whole project never made any sense to me. All they are doing is analyzing what people are discussing on the internet. I would also guess that more informed chatter makes its way into the system as well. So if we here on ATS, for example, are discussing a cataclysm on the west coast of the USA, in large enough numbers, then the webbot will think something is going to occur. At least that is how I understand it. And if I remember correctly there were certain issues regarding the webbot and 12/21/12, a date on which nothing occurred. So I refuse to put much faith in such a computer program, no matter how sophisticated. Don't get me wrong though, as I am an amateur programmer myself, and I fully believe in the ability of scripts and programs to do a variety of things, and even predict certain things...But not global events on a scale this massive.

The fact that some predictions seem accurate however does make me wonder how exactly this is working. I do not believe in coincidence very often, so I admit that I am curious, and maybe I am wrong.

Hasn't Webbot been saying "global coastal event" for years though? And other infamous things like "space goat farts"? If you'll pardon my crudeness...

I can't get past how they come up with the predictions though. They use the Web as a source for their "predictive linguistics" and we all know what an echo chamber the internet can be, hell I get the same crazy Obama email forwards from half of my relatives. LoL!

I used to think it was interesting, now I tend to think it's just a money-making gimmick.

doesn't sound like it scores very often and for the remote viewers i don't put much stock in them.
Listened to Dames and Art Bell one nite in the late 90's, Dames said a few things would happen somewhere around '02/'03 but they didn't happen then or any time since.

It takes a person to pick up on the collective consciousness, I do not think a program can do it.
But then, I could be wrong, highly doubt it in this case, cause webbot was wrong a few times, most of the time, if not all of the time, from anything I have seen and read, and felt personally.

But that is just my opinion.

Right! The Webbot predicted last year that 2012 would be the last year - errr..I mean the end of the world as we know it! But heck, I'm still here bashing my keyboard writing this post.

Webbot seems to be a real hit or miss proposition and the 2012 stuff was really bad. But they did have some success - this is clipped from the below article.

Again, I strongly doubt their methodology and I doubt they will get this right for 2013 but they have unwaveringly made these predictions about 2013 for years (internet blackout/global coastal event).

Joe

"As they began to turn their attention to these additional predictions they were stunned. In June 2001 the Bot predicted that a "life altering event" would take place within the next 60-90 days. Within that timescale, the Twin Towers fell in the 9/11 New York attacks, certainly altering many lives both in America and Worldwide.

Another example of the Web Bot producing results is the prediction of the current financial crisis. The Web Bot predicted that in 2008 - "There'll be a major stock market crash or a climate event that has a disastrous effect on the economy." As we all know, we are still undoubtedly feeling the effects of this crisis.

The Web Bot - Prediction for 2012 (which they really screwed up) -

"There will be an untimely demise for millions by 2012, brought upon by some combination of pandemics, economic collapse, breakdown of health care and unknown energies from space"

As shown above, its latest and darkest prediction refers to the year 2012. The Web Bots history of many correct predictions covering many subject topics suggests that the Web Bot is worth paying some amount of attention to.
