Why am I not being allowed to create a thread in the 9/11 forums?

My question is simple and is in the title.

My WATS is at 10, I've checked, double-checked, and triple-checked.

Here it is (my points or whatever from my member profile, copied and pasted):

ATS Points: 2,615
Flags: 162
Stars: 1,212
WATS Index: 10

I go to create a thread in the 9/11 forum and I'm stopped by "You cannot begin a new thread in this forum." After the short description, it says on the bottom "You must have at least 10 "WATS" points to create a new thread."

Um, okay. I have 10 WATS points exactly. Why can't I create a thread then? It says, right there, you must have AT LEAST 10. I do.

Why am I not being allowed to create a new thread?

Send a U2U to a mod and ask them.

Oh just slightly haha. I am much more of a reader, but I'm starting to post and participate a lot more, and I was disheartened to find I couldn't create a thread in the 9/11 forums.

I messaged Heff, he's (she?) the only mod I know off of the top of my head.

If you click on the "FORUMS" link above then scroll all the way to the bottom, you can see all of the mods and admins who are logged onto ATS right now. Mods and admins will be the names in bold lettering.

And judging by that list, Heff isn't on right now. I'd message DontTreadOnMe or 12m8keall2c.

Don't hate you at all Sweet Pea. Heff is a he, and responds quickly. If he's online at the time. Plus, another MOD will read this too...I'll alert your thread so it gets seen by all the MODS online, and let them know you require help.

..for that matter...there's 4 very capable mods in the ATS chat room right now (ask Silk or Benevolent Tyrant. The other 2 are doing the broadcast.) Instant help! www.abovetopsecret.com...

Friendly and helpful beyond any reasonable words, ah I've found the good side of ATS yet again.

Thankfully for me I'm not in too much of a hurry, and after trying to join the ATS chat I've been told I need to update my java.

I'm young, and even I hate technology. It never quite works for me.

Oh that one's beyond me! You can try updating. That tends to cause more problems for me. If you're having problems with the most recent java, try rolling back the program OR uninstalling latest version and installing an older version.

It's true, I had an older version of Java and I couldn't get in to chat either....all fixed now.



As for the 9/11 issue, staff is aware and hopefully you'll have an answer soon.
