If I may, The US federal government is an Economic-cryptocracy. Hey I am ALL for Russia patrolling where ever it wants. Our navy could use the training sneaking around them and measuring our tech.Their KGB trained leader knows better that to push it too far anyway and we both aren't too crazy about China getting into the game (Although selling them old stuff is a needed part of income for Russia),however Syria could be a big issue.

Why not? Look where the last Cold War got us! Lots of new military tech, smart phones, space exploration, jobs, ect.

Hell, bring on WW3! Look at what WW2 did for us!
(Europeans might not feel the same way)

The "American Dream" was brought to an end with the current president.
It is difficult realizing that the U.S. is being destroyed from the inside out,
not from an outside source that citizens could rally behind and defeat.
The U.S. citizens will not go down without a very bloody fight. Please
remember that we still have a constitution and a lot of armed citizens.
Russia putting the U.S. in it's place is a joke.

Who in their right mind would ever want a WW3? You do realize that a third
world war wouldn't be fought with conventional weapons? We are talking a war
fought with nuclear bombs.Yeah right, nuke em' til they glow and shoot em' in
the dark,pathetic.

The OP almost doesn't merit response.

What Russia is doing is the same as China, to a large extent. As the relatively stable era of the lone superpower draws down with U.S. military contraction, regional issues become the concern for both China, Russia, even India.

All are expanding their military capabilties quickly. With a U.S. drawdown, these guys need to fill that gap and take care of their own backyards. Regional powers is future rather than superpowers, IMHO.

Both the Med and the Arctic circle are within the Russian backyard and I doubt there's much concern in the U.S. about it other than the military, who's job is to "worry" about it.LOL

Stand up to the U.S.? Yawn...

All of you that are SO unconcerned about Russia, you should be. Putin will not hesitate to act. He's not one to cry wolf and yes Russia still has a formidable military.

I understand Putin is squeezing Canadian turf with this arctic business as well.

You have, what? 10 Trafalgar class nuclear boats? take em out of moth balls and get em up there. LOL.

Take care of your own turf, After all, everyone wants the U.S. to do what it's been doing since gulf war one. shrinking, pulling back. Slowly but steadily.

The dirty little secret is, more and more, everyone else is going have to take care of their own issues.

As far as Putin goes, OK, he goes into Georgia, the U.S. sends a frigate right into the Georgian capital with "emergency medical supplies". Russia cries 'diabolical", Putin does NOTHING about it.

Yawn....

Don't worry about us. We can take care of ourselves. I'm just saying that if the US pushes Putin he's going to push back. Expect it.

Fair enough. cough, cough.

So in your opinion, where are we "pushing" Putin? Syria? That's no more his business than the U.S.'s. Personally, I have zero problem with them killing each other...let em be...the U.S. should stay out of it.

Poland? ABMs? too bad. The U.S. can give defensive weapon systems to NATO allies if they want assuming Poland wants them.

Otherwise, the U.S. is doing nothing that it hasn't since the cold war.

Noise, rhetoric, grandstanding....all to create the illusion that Russia is again a superpower. To stoke national pride and his own popularity at home. Nothing more.

China has been and is their biggest potential advisory. They know it, we know it and so does China. Start something with the U.S. and China would jump at the chance to take over the resources-oil- of Siberia while Putin was messing with the U.S..

I repeat YAWN.lol

THAT is where the danger lies. Putin WANTS Russia to be a superpower again and I don't think he gives a damn as to who he walks over to make that happen. And he DOES have a potent military.

China has been and is their biggest potential advisory.

Until China can project its power, via a decent navy, China is nothing to Russia.

I repeat YAWN.lol

I'm just warning you dude.

Look on the R T Website, even American people are glad to see America being stood up too now, everyone hates America, yes even Americans, yes great news, America wiped off the map would make many in UK happy & Europe, not too sure as to why everyone hates America, maybe it's the leader of USA folk hate so mush, sorry I'n honestly not sure, but we sure are glad to see Russia back under Putin, that we can all say.

There are Americans that remember what America stands for, and that idea is much deeper rooted than Russian communism or European socialism, for it offers a grand distinction to its followers that communism and socialism do not- parallel equality from the top, not the bottom. The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, but it is not going anywhere. Russians hate everyone and Europeans loathe gumption, Americans want to spread liberty- do not despair, coming to a theater near you, soon.

If Russia had clean hands, they wouldn't be playing into the "globalist" war games!!!!!

Wouldn't you think Putin would be spilling the beans about the corrupt World Banking System????

When are you guys going to get it?

Exactly. The Russian's mob controlled state is a pawn of the financial elite, like the US Government.

The American Dream was brought to the end by the last 5 presidents including the current one.

All 5 of those men are the pawns of the men that run this planet

Dude thats a bit harsh. I dont think most people hate Americans. I have problems with the US government and foreign policy. That is not the same as having a problem with Americans in general. People are people the world over.
That being said. I think it is better to have two opposing superpowers instead of one. It keeps things in check better. Unless things go wrong.. Then they really go wrong..

China is nothing to Russia? Better check your atlas. They have a very longer border with each other. A "navy" isn't even a factor. Lots of ground troops is a factor. China has them. Also, it's a long way from Russian population centers to the border. Logistics-wise, China has a huge advantage.

I don't discount your warning. If you stay on top of the technical developments, Russia is a long way behind the U.S., even now.

He's being watched, from my understanding. Apparently, he has around 20 billion stashed away in western banks that he has stolen from the Russian people.

Besides, what is the U.S. supposed to do about? Expand the military? Threaten him? Watch him is about it...for now.

I say if we are all stupid enough to let such a thing happen, and its the elitests of the world who will be nice and cozy living in a hole deep underground for generations to come, they can have it. THEY can have whatever is left over, the desolate waste lands and death. I just hope if such a thing does happen that I'm vapourized in the fires of nuclear weapons, feel no more pain, no more suffering. So who's really winning? No one except the dead.
