These guys. The most logical interpretation is that you were refering to the pink slugs in the op. Maybe you weren´t, but it sure looks like that with the words that were used in that sentence structure.

I wouldn´t worry about it though.

No we live on the California coast at the North end, we have the Redwoods and Banana slugs are all over the place. Regular slugs too are really big here. So ours are the Pacific kind.

But this isn't a banana slug. And I know for a fact there are no bright pink slugs in northern California. Nice try.

I am sorry you must have misread my post. I was simply showing the similar large yellow ones we have here. ?? Sorry for the misunderstanding.

By this I meant the photo I included.

No one misread anything. You said "we have these guys here, almost stepped on one on the front porch this morning", and I guess you tried to include a photo of something else that didn't show up, so anyone reading your reply correctly, as I did, could only assume the "these guys" you were referring to were the same as the slugs in the OP. So don't imply I don't know how to read because your photo did not properly embed. Maybe you need to reread your own post.

That would make sense.

They are very easy to spot since they are so long and yellow.

This reminds me of Bioshock, with the slugs that have these ~ amazing properties ~ that unlocked the power to genetics and allowed people to drug themselves up with super powers.

They're way too cool though. Hot pink slugs...
