For all you know, that person you suspect to be part of NWO might be there to observe the situation from the ground
Long shot, I know.

Eyes open and really think the picture thing through. The last thing you'd want is to land in a Turkish prison or to be on the receiving end of a gas cannister/rubber bullet. I have seen some pictures of tourists caught in the fight, and it wasn't pretty.

Still planning to go to Istanbul? That's where the most intense protests happened and continue to happen.

Stay safe!

My opinion still stands. I get tired of hearing teenage kids yell facism everytime they don't get there way. Call me when someone you know is sent to the gas chambers or worker camp to slowly strave to death

So, now we hear that the government is planning on building a mosque on this site too?

Calling the protesters "a few looters", Erdogan said he would press ahead with redeveloping Istanbul's Taksim Square, a project which provoked the demonstrations that have widened into a broader show of defiance against his Islamist-rooted Justice and Development Party (AKP).

Erdogan singled out the Republican People's Party (CHP) - set up in 1924 by Mustafa Kemal Ataturk who founded Turkey's modern secular state - for attack over a dispute he described as ideological.

"We think that the main opposition party which is making resistance calls on every street is provoking these protests," Erdogan said on Turkish television.

Turkey's fiercest anti-government unrest for years erupted when trees were torn down at a park in Taksim Square under government plans to construct a new mosque and rebuild a replica Ottoman-era barracks.

"This reaction is no longer about the ripping out 12 trees. This is based on ideology," said Erdogan, whose conservative vision for the nation has angered more liberal Turks. Referring to the planned mosque, he added: "Obviously I will not ask for permission for this from the head of CHP or a few looters."

My comment about the NWO was more tongue in cheek than a true observation, but nothing would surprise me.

It was just unusual to hear someone from the State's saying that all press (US and elsewhere) should listen to the government and only report what they tell you to report.

He also believes in government control, and a whole host of other things that I find very interesting and somewhat alarming. His family has deep roots in America and his wealth goes back many generations.

During our tour, he has been pro-government for Turkey the whole way. Not very open minded.

We're near Troy--safe in the countryside.

I hear things in the Square are still unstable. We'll find out tomorrow if we are pressing on to Istanbul.

Along the countryside, everywhere we stopped people ran up to the bus to ask our guide what was happening in the city.

The streets in Izmir this morning were just a mess---tipped over streetlights, garbage everywhere. The protesters did not disturb any shops--only government buildings. They started the bank across the street on fire.

The protesters have no weapons--at least not in Izmir.

Our guide tells us stories of corruption by the government--more stories than I care to go into detail about here. But I will when I return.

Thanks everyone for your support and news....

Pretty much what I figured...no shopping mall.

In fact, there's really no "certain document" of what's going to be placed there, but Erdogan sure is hell bent on developing it. Either way, I guaranty it resembles the original Taksim Military Barracks.

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has stepped back from building a shopping mall in the Artillery Barracks project to replace Taksim Gezi Park, while also announcing that a mosque will be built on Taksim Square.

“You cannot make an AVM [shopping mall] familiar to the international ones in this area. There is no conclusive AVM project here. Maybe we will make a city museum there or an architectural work that will put different activities in place. Is there any certain document? No,” said Erdoğan on June 2 in Istanbul as he attended the Rumeli Turks Association’s general assembly.

Isn't turkey doing really well? That is ALL the msm keeps telling everyone. That their economy is booming and things are on the up and up. Of course wages are relatively low though.

What the hell is arab spring anyway? What do people want? Do they want religious government, communism or something else? I am getting tired of the "wake up" with zero meaning. If they said against masonry, against croney capitalism, against bilderbergers, against nwo, against demons, something we can hold on to that makes sense then sure. But I get tired of cheap, empty slogans.

Or maybe against nato. Now that would be special. Screw usa, uk, france and israel that want war with everyone but themselves.

Here are some quotes from CHP party representatives that Erdogan is blaming all of this on (dated April 15, 2013)...

RT’s Maria Finoshina reported from Turkey how residents are concerned by the growing dominance of Islamic values: Censorship is imposed on TV shows, museums are turned into mosques, and attempts are even being made to introduce Ottoman-style uniforms for flight attendants.

Turkish women fear their rights are being infringed even though they are seemingly free to wear and do what they want.

“The reformed education system is split into three parts of four years each, the result - thousands of girls leave school before the end, encouraging young marriages. The state promotes having at least five kids. Only three out of ten women today go to work. It’s far from a democratic model of society,” says Şenal Sarihan, the head of the group Women of the Republic.

The Turkish opposition speaks of a dangerous tendency: nine decades after Turkey broke with the Islamic rule of the Ottoman Empire in favor of an anti-clerical, pro-Western vision, the ideas and values that were rejected appear to some to be making a comeback.

“We are very concerned because Turkey is a secular democracy. But Islam has become the only reference. It says what to do, what to wear, what to eat, what not to eat,” Faruk Logoglu, CHP party vice-chairman said.

Ah the same muslim brotherhood that has been sweeping over the entire middle east and that NATO supports with weapons from saudi arabia. What does muslim brotherhood mean? Hint it is a brotherhood of muslims that wants a non-secular government.

Gadafhi was killed by muslim brotherhood and bombed by nato. Assad is struggling to keep his government intact from the same PARASITES that nato supports.

Here is an idea. Give the middle finger to both nato and the muslim brotherhood. They are vampires!

For the sake of the whole world I hope these Muslim Brotherhood clowns are all arrested. I just seen the live feed and there is not that many of them. Turkey has a strong army so it will take a lot to bring the country down, I just hope that the military powers can get someone leading Turkey that has some sense and doesn't contradict himself all the time like the current leader of Turkey. It is critical that these Ottoman people do not let the radical Islamic scum bags take over or we will see a huge war very soon.

Israel has no good way out of this but to hope that the current government stays in power or one that is friendlier with more common sense.

Obama is a Jackass for supporting the Muslim Brotherhood but that is what his Nazi handlers are telling him to do!

Cant you see the writing on the wall though. The Nazi's who control the western governments now want to install radical governments in these countries because the current ones had learned their lessons in attacking Israel, yet kept dealing with Russia.

They want these nuts to attack these nations, remove their leaders and install strict Sunni Islamic governments Obama's opinion is "Hey we can deal with Saudi Arabia but we cant with Iran so why not". This will fulfill biblical prophecy with Russia and Iran already promising not to let the western backed AQ types from taking over in Syria. Egypt was an accident in this plan I am sure, yet they had to keep the ruse going to let the other nations fall.

With Turkey in chaos the Russians will be allowed to be very influential. This is the last piece in the Gog-Magog puzzle that will lead to that war.

"Gog-Magog"
No,just no.

If anything, its politics and the fact that throughout human history, countries go to war.
Politics and war are bad enough, religious non-sense is not needed.

And even IF an event occurs like some "prophecy",it dosent make it any kind of divine fortune telling.
It could also be nut jobs trying to self full fill these religious fortune cookies.

Nazis? Religious international capitalists are in power. Religions are all a sham. Sorry I am center-left on the political spectrum and as such am agnostic. We have croney capitalism everywhere.

Shiites are normally more radicalised then sunnis, but regardless all non-secular governments are evil imo.

Russia has a problem with loosing colonies trading weapons for oil and other business affairs. Nato is getting involved a little too deep where it does NOT belong. Nato is profitering racket that has long outlived its lifespan and is nothing but a burden on the taxpayers of each member nation. It should have been disolved a long time ago.

Both assad and gadafhi were secular leaders that often spoke out about nato and israel, hence why Obama and his liberal minions want to get rid of them. Israel is just as non-secular as iran but they don't admit it.

I disagree here. Russia is not the problem. Nato is! Nato is giving weapons to muslim brotherhood, not russia. Russia is simply trying to keep its colonial influence alive.

Tayyip Erdogan belongs to the muslim brotherhood party so naturally he wants more religious influence in turkey and support nato. That is why he gives weapons and other support to muslim brotherhood in syria. he is a nato puppet.

As for israel they dug themselves into their own grave for not being able to handle their national security a long time ago. They got invaded by muslim nations and instead of either a)kicking out the palestinians or b)absorbing them into israel AND making israel a secular state that respects arabs, they choose to give land to the palestinians in a doomed from the start two state "solution". Now its too late because the media has turned against israel and sensationalises everything against them.

What lasting benefit comes from standing overtly and dangerously in solidarity with locals in such a situation?

yes indeed...what could ever come of standing up to a corrupt government?

not corrupt are they? why jam the internet and refuse to broadcast?

Contrary to popular belief nazis are NOT right wingers. They were center-left on the political spectrum. They did not take religion seriously eventhough the vatican helped them. The vatican helped them because they prefered national socialism over communism. Communists are atheists and extreme left collectivists. The vatican choose the lesser of two evils at the time.

It was called the national socialist workers party. Socialists cannot be right wingers and everyone knows this. Hitler himself grew up in poverty and was a ww1 veteran that wanted revenge from the allies he had lost to. He was a strong nationalist. Combine nationalism with socialism and you get nazis and facists. The italians called national socialism as facism but it was virtually the same as nazism. There were MANY national socialist countries during the 20s through 40s because it was popular political ideology. It was A WORKERS PARTY, but did not believe in collectivism like russia.

You are confusing liberals, which is what the democrats are, with left wing politics and it is wrong. Liberals are center-right! They are not as dogmatic as conservatives are but they still believe in capitalism, globalism and religion. I call them THE FAKE LEFT because that is exactly what they are.
