In the thread on Gay marriage, the debate still rages. Something that has come up late in the argument is that we in the gay community are taking attention away from important issues like homelessness and death.

So, to all of those who do not like gay people. Consider this, we are the product of straight families. Look and see the damage your rejection, and hatred does to us

Suicide - I couldn't watch this clip to the end, even though it's only 3:30 odd long. It brings back too many hurtful memories of my own troubled teens. I myself was nearly a statistic, it is only because of emergency resucitation by determined doctors that I am here to present this thread today.

A school friend of mine took his life beccause he was gay. (R.I.P Phillip, I will always keep up the fight for equality in memory of you) I have known too many other gay people senselessly die through suicide as well.

Homlessness - young gay people are over represented in the homeless community. Good people out there are trying very hard to help, but until the attitude at home changes, we will continue to be out on the streets in bigger numbers than we should be.

Well said and I hope people take note.
Oh and to the people who will think "Good Iam glad" (you know who you are) ask yourselves would Jesus say the same or would he want us all to try and make sure this doesn't happen through love, acceptance and understanding?.

Had to stop the vid...upsetting very.
S&F dude.

Not even going to try watching the vid

I'm not Gay. I'm in my late 50's, and even when I was a kid there were Gay people in the small village where I grew up. But none of us saw Gays as any different than anyone else. There were two black children in the village too and nobody batted an eye lid. I think because we were a small village, and few had tv back then, we weren't so brainwashed into wanting to hate someone.
Today tv and every other type of msm continues to stir the pot. Shameful really.

Good thread

I didn't mean to imply that gay discrimination was an undervalued issue, guys. I apologize if it came off that way.

There is nothing wrong with gay people.

They should be treated equally.

Doesn't meant they should be allowed to marry.

That has nothing to do with equality. Its about preservation of a species and making sure children get exposed to both genders while being raised. THAT is equality.

Find Yourself a Dictionary,
then look up the word EQUALITY.

Then reread your above quoted piece.

You know, you can detest the act of homosexual sex, and yes, you can even hate the thought of it, but it doesn't mean you hate the person. I don't like a lot of things some people do, but I don't hate them. People really need to stop equating disgust over the act of homosexual sex with hatred for the people. They are two separate issues.

People that hate gay people are simply not very intelligent.

Bigotry is associated with low IQ's.

Yet you give no evidence as to why this statement is wrong.

A little kid calling names, because he doesn't get his way.

That's what your reply is.

What name did I call?

I have to give evidence as to why that wasn't dumb???

give me evidence why you should even bother typing a response! that's how drunk you sound right now.

I never asked for evidence i asked for a reason.

try reading before you yap off.

Its pretty awesome how you excluded the part about children being EQUALLY exposed to both parents while being raised is important from my post you quoted...

Cherry pick much?

Why did you go through the trouble of erasing that part, you straight forward honorable soul you.

Yes, yes they should be treated equally.

Doesn't meant they should be allowed to marry.

Hold the phone there budrow, that goes directly against what you just said about treating them equally.

That has nothing to do with equality.

Well, actually it does. It has everything to do with equality.
Here, take a look at this;
e·qual·i·ty [ih-kwol-i-tee]
noun, plural e·qual·i·ties.
1.
the state or quality of being equal; correspondence in quantity, degree, value, rank, or ability.

So yes, two of your four sentence fragments were in direct conflict with one another.
Almost like a contradictory statement.

First to the OP I am sorry for your lose, and for all of you that may have lost a loved on due to ignorace and hate.

The sad thing is that we are in the year 2013 and still cannot politely have a discussion, not about what someone is doing in the privacy of their own home, or even in a parade, but that we still feel the need to judge.

The stats of those that take their lives, are thrown out of their homes, or brutilized dont really make the paper or the front page, they are only seen as the jokers in a comedy, or as comedy relief, but there is a different side to all stories, and this one still seems to carry a stigma that has been going on for far to long.

Hopefull this thread wil stay alive and on-topic so that the above videos can be seen.

S&F,
Peace, NRE.

Using the Ground Breaking Information you hold so Dearly, Children being Exposed to two Parents was it?

So , Using your Brain Child now.

That means Children raised by Single Parents MUST be Suffering from the Lack of Exposure to Both Parents.

Thats why I deleted that "important" line from the Quote.

Because it has No Merit.

No it doesn't. Because if you let gay people marry then you cannot stop them from adoption or heaven for bid gene splicing or some frankenstein crap like that.

Wrirte a law that says that children should only be adopted or raised by parents of opposite sex and I will recant.

I have a couple gay friends, even a tranny, and they all know my position when we discuss it face to face and they cannot help but agree with the difficulties and fairness in exposing children to something out of the norm (reproduction between gays is impossible without modern technology) without their consent. Same argument as castration... choice is everything.
