As to the UN thing, that come from an interpretation in Revelations. It means that Gov'ts of the Earth will turn against religion.

Just in case you are wondering, I was raised JW but may get some things wrong as it has been over 20 years since practicing. Not wrong about this post though. I'll let you know when it's unclear to me.

There will only be one authorized religion in the last days. Everyone will be forced to worship the beast and receive his mark. The vast majority will not only accept this fact but they will also be proud to be apart of it. Sounds insane when you consider it but in time it will make sense.

I have heard this every couple years since I was a kid and its always been a hoax. I am not very religious myself but I would never support something like that and doubt if 75% of ther world would either. To much of the world belongs to one religion or another.

By the way the JWs also thought the world was gonna end several years ago and that didnt happen either.

I was married to someone who became a witness. I am a witch of sorts and so we are no longer together. However he did show me a picture of a building he said was already a church of the UN. I believe he said it was in New York, not positive though. He said that they would claim religion to be the cause of most wars and they wouldn't be wrong about that. So it would be a religion that tried to incorporate the beliefs of many religions and then the rest would be banned on the premise of Global Security.

I can see if this is true how people could be mislead and be proud of their affiliation with this religion. He also pointed to comments made by Bush about religion. Things like "I don't care if people worship under a cross or a cresent moon." I can't remember the others, but the point was, he felt that Bush was trying to soften peoples hearts to believing that it doesn't matter who or what you worship as long as you worship. And, that Bush would try to lead people into this religion sort of slowly, allowing it to incidiously find its way into the public eye with just a nudge or two from him. I personally have no idea if there is such a church if if my ex is off his rocker.... But he seems like a nice guy!

UN can't just ban religion. They are a nice idealistic concept and an administrative nightmare with very limited authority. Every decision has to be aproved by the "big ones" in security council. And we all know Bush speaks personaly with Jesus so I doubt he will ban his bestest buddy

When five-year-olds are taught that "two daddies" or "two mommies" are just as valid defining "a family" as a man and a woman, they are going to have a hard time going home to church and God-devotional parents and making sense out of what their parents know.

I believe the Witnesses are correct. I was a Witness from 1965 to 1978; and it was just about 1975 that the world ended, as a confederation of sovereign states to be replaced by Globalist mechanics and dialectics.

No one said all religion would be banned....Just all but the UN religion. I'm sure they would keep "his bestest buddy" around in their religious conglomerate. They would have to in order for it to be accepted, and they know that.

Oh yea, I remembered another quote from Bush used to support my ex's theory... Bush said something like Christians and Muslims worship the same God. Does that sound familliar?
