I usually ignore (safely) what is going on around me in my mundane work life and transport myself into different times and places.

I have what I think is an amazing imagination to the point that I can "erase" physical reality and replace it with what I want to see.

For example, If I am in a small town, I can shift time in my imagination back to say 1800 and see the buildings, landscapes, roads and people how they would look back then.

My favourite at the moment though is when I am driving I see, smell and feel myself riding a Harley across the Nevada deserts.. I mean I can actually feel the heat of the sun and feel the wind rush.

It's quite an experience.

You know, I believe most of us here at ATS think in weird and wonderful ways, I believe it has been the primary driving force into us finding this place.

I don't think we stumble across things like this, I feel we seek it, because we feel different in some way and we are trying to find similar thinkers.

I'm personally always in a day dream, even watching a movie, I will take its interesting theme and play with it in my head.

I love to learn, so I read alot and it's led me to some very interesting truths, or what I believe to be truth anyway. I suppose you have to experience something before you can have faith in what you know.

I believe the mind is a wonderful thing, and we can truely discover ourselves if we look within.

Sorry if that was a bit deep, but I suppose you aroused my curiosity with your question.

No need to be sorry. I like deep conversations between colleagues, as it will divulge exponentionally more information than just the standard" hi how are you?"

Most people want to get in, get out, and assume they're ahead.

Well in that case, I'll look forward to participating in your future threads. I'll keep a look out.

Yup, same here. And I think of stuff where after a minute or two I say to myself, "That is the stupidest thing you could ever think of!" Like:

I wondered if I could find five cars where the numbers on the license plates combined could cover all the numbers from zero to 9. Did it right in my parking lot.

I can scale the universe in my mind. Imagining vast distances,

Every night as I close my eyes to sleep, my mind BURSTS out into the universe looking for answers to what it's made of.

Wow, yeah that pretty much describes my imagination... I love it. At one point, I had a pictorial user interface.

Yeah no kidding, finding someone else who likes having deep conversations is incredibly rare. But damn... I could never make do with that "Hello, goodbye" friendship thing... in fact, I have nightmares about finding myself in a situation where that is all I have.

That's my most common nightmare theme. In fact, I think there are like a thousand different variants of it.

I use to daydream a lot more. I still do, but usually just before I'm going to go to bed. For some reason I have this strange apocalypic fantasy I guess you could call it where I"m having to fend for myself after a shtf scenario.

But I use to have all kinds of different ones I'd pay out in my mind. Like I remember I had this one, where I invented a machine that allowed me to win on slot machines. So I'd use this device and it would cause the slot machine to go haywire and give me money. So I'd spend time in vegas going from one casino to another using my machine to get money. What's very odd about that day dream was at that time when I thought that one up, I was making good money in business. It's not like I needed more. Talk about weird. But I don't know I don't really pay out those day dreams as much anymore. Just not as exciting.
