A question about stars

I heard about a week ago that three planets would be visible above the horizon after sunset. I was wondering if what you saw was close to the horizon or overhead.

I agree that even if you did get moving lights on video, several on here will claim whatever ordinary explanation seems logical. It could be a helicopter training exercise even if it really was a UFO. I was just curious so I posted.

What would be more freaky is if you were looking at it and it suddenly just disappeared.
I've seen that before.

Perhaps it did that, only you were not looking.
