Love her or hate her, old crazy eyes will not be running for re- election.

Maybe due to the investigation into her presidential campaign, or maybe her pollsters saw something that helped her make this decision.

One way or another, the state of Minnesota will have a new Senator.

Im glad she's going to be gone. She's just nutty has heck.

Hopefully a Rep. similar to Ron (or to a lesser extent, Rand) Paul replaces her.

I agree that that Minnesota can elect a better Senator, just keep in mind the state is known for electing some weird people.

They could elect someone with completely unexpected political views.

Minnesota could end up with another Al Franklin just as easily as a Rand Paul.

YaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaY!

Think it has anything to do with the ethics investigations into her presidential campaign that are going on? Ahh. Nope. At least she says so: “This decision was not impacted in any way by the recent inquiries into the activities of my former presidential campaign or my former presidential staff,”

I really want a woman to be elected into the executive branch of government but I really do want that woman to be...erm...qualified and sane...

Thank you, Michele.

I was born there and lived there for years. They surely do elect a wide range of people..... From Al Franken, to Bachmann, to Ventura (Ventura is the only one I actually really like)......Quite a very wide range.

I really hope my home state chooses another Ventura this time.

Could you imagine Senator Ventura? Heck, I'd move to Minnesota just to vote for him.

Of course first I'd need to hire some Sherpa guides to get me to that frozen land, but still.

Also, I wrote senator, she was a congresswoman, not a senator...oops.

Best news I've heard all month. Good riddance.

Remember, this is the woman who claimed God told her to run for President and that God would intervene to stop Obamacare.

What a fruitcake.

Hahaha, another corrupt Republican bites the dust in humiliation!

That's good news for the people of her home state.
and good news for the nation .. we may not have to hear about her anymore.
I wonder if she's going to move to Switzerland?
Isn't she now a dual Swiss-American citizen or something?

She's actually a Representative, not a Senator. The fellow that she almost lost to last November was a pretty run of the mill Democrat, though a bit on the conservative side (he'd have to be -- here in the Sixth District, we're fairly conservative.)

On the whole, Minnesota has taken a fairly radical shift to the left in the past six months, time will tell what comes from Bachman's exit from the scene -- I'd like to say that 2014 is a backlash against the governor and legislature for their actions in the session which just ended, but it's hard to say right now.

Well said.
And God stopping Obama care?
Can you imagine God siding with less healthcare
for the sick and poor because it benefits CEO's ?
What kind of God was she praying to?

Yeah, I realized well after I posted that I was way off. I mentioned it in a follow up post, but it was too late to fix. Thank zombie jesus that she wasn't a senator!

I was wondering if she was going to Switzerland too. Getting out of USA like so many others. Who will be the "chosen " to take her place, Tea Party or NeoCon GOP?

We can only hope she's gone, but she won't be...Just like Palin is still around. Can't we ever just get rid of these lunatics?

Evidently, she feels she's done her job and can/needs do no more at this point.
