Joe, the conditions are not there for WWIII next year.

However whenever it happens, the death toll will be in billions, not millions.

Most of the people will die from hunger and disease. Rest will die from direct actions of the war.

I am making perhaps a futile attempt to explain that seeking peace is better than seeking war.

Peace is possible only when there is justice. Wealth is not a precursor to peace, justice is.

I still pray that such a war does not happen. We shall see.

What if Saudis are just opportunists, using military power of USA and Israel for their ends.

I do not know about secret agreements, but I know that most of the people attacking US forces overseas are Saudis.

You do not have to understand Asian psychology. There is no need.

The simple rule is you fight for me if I pay you taxes. A king keeps an army to protect a country. This army is funded by the citizens. As an Indian, I expect Indian Army to protect me, not US Army.

If this simple fact is understood, a lot of problems go away.

There can be a King of entire Earth or a Super King. But this is possible only when all States accept the dominion of this King. And this King will then has to use a single currency all over the world, and protect every citizen of the world. If such an agreement is there, then this Super King has every right to receive a part of taxes from every nation.

There is no such agreement at this time.

A wise man once said "know thy enemy". Maybe if we knew those we call enemies a little better we'd discover they aren't really all that different from ourselves and that they have as much right to and justification for their beliefs and ways of life as we do. Maybe we'd discover that the true enemies of peace are merely pretending to be our allies. Maybe that's why everyone must be spied on, because pretend friendlies cannot be trusted with the treasure any more than they themselves can be trusted.

After World War I, in 1902 King Abdul-Aziz al-Saud (Ibn Saud) and his goons captured Riyadh from a rival family, some say he did this with the kind assistance of the British. Britain signed the "Treaty of Darin" in 1915 and the Saud Family became a British protectorate.

Saud's alliance with the US (because after all, the US is still a lackey to the British bankers who birthed the US) kept him in power despite the rejection of his "kingship" by the people of the country. He signed on with Standard Oil (Chevron) in 1935, which handed over substantial authority over Saudi Oil fields, neatly removing the PEOPLE from any expectation of a fair cut of the pie. Standard Oil later set up the Arabian American Oil Company (Aramco), which is now fully owned by the Saudi government, making the royal family just one more tentacle of the money industry octopus, which Saudi PEOPLE have been trying to overthrow for about a hundred years now. Many Saudi civilians have languished in Saudi prisons for decades because in kingdoms there is no right to life or liberty or happiness. But they're "our" allies and friends.

Its about money, not religious beliefs. WWIII is already well under way and its still all about money and the continued supremacy of the money men, just like WWI and WWII were about money and supremacy. The "enemies" on both sides of any war are cannon fodder who are taught to hate one another.

We have no need for kings, never, not on a local level, nor globally. Kings DICTATE. Kings have no loyalty to the cannon fodder they throw at rival powers to maintain their own.

The money kings may succeed in forcing a single currency upon the PEOPLE of the world for a time, but not forever.

King is needed. A king is not optional.

King can be a great force for positive change if citizens choose a good king.

The current Presidents and Prime Ministers are disasters because democracy itself is a disaster. Most people who elect the Head of State do not have the ability to understand the current issues and thus choose the right person.

The genesis of WWIII will be significant weakening of the American power.

The US government budget is under severe strain, and same is the case of many other Western countries.

The reason is same everywhere - the savings have been squandered, and little is left for investment.

The governments are filling the gap by monetary expansion. This has averted a disaster, but has not alleviated the root cause of the problem.

The governments have to align their expenditure with the revenues. This is happening is a convoluted and painful manner due to expansion of the welfare State.

Wars are expensive. The kind of war America fights is very expensive. USA's ability to fight a future war will be limited by financial resources available, specially in a situation where Homeland is not directly threatened.

USA has made many mistakes, the largest was engineering the fall of USSR. USA and USSR are like twins connected to the same umbilical cord - both States born out of frustration with repressive kings. If USSR went down, USA is sure to go.

Fall of USSR has made China and Muslim power much stronger, a side-effect which USA did not take into consideration.

On this, in my country you WILL get a very clear disconnect.Unless said "king" is the one we are waiting for there are NO human kings worthy of ruling earth.
You may be conditioned to subservience but I sir have my Constitution.I am here to keep it alive, and so far as a "true believer" I don't see a model in history I like better.
Yours included.
We aren't finished and our experiment continues.

The nation of "Bharat" is still reeling from effects of Mahabharat war fought 5300 years back.

And you are telling me that wars can be very profitable?

Wars are destructive - pure and simple.

The Vedic society never recovered from Mahabharat war.

The Western society will never recover from WWIII. This is my prediction.

don't know if anybody reported it. Russian snap military drills in the Far East - Sakhalin - Sea of Japan that are ongoing right now. 160,000 personnel, strategic bombers just patrolled over Sea of Japan along Korea and Japan en.ria.ru... Japanese and Korean jets escort them. It is said to be the biggest Russian military drill since USSR time. Putin ordered it reportedly at 1 AM on July 13 local time and it was unexpected even for the generals who received the orders for the drill in sealed packages. It is strangely under-reported in MSM, having other much less important topics as headlines. Taking into account the recent tensions with North Korea and the ongoing territorial dispute for the Kuril islands, this is rather strong asymmetrical response from Putin. Some users online connect it to the Israeli attack on Russian missiles in Syria, but I see it much wider than that China just finished a naval drill in the same region. The Chinese 5 ships moved eastward thru the straight between Sakhalin and Hokkaido Japan in unknown direction.

If WW3 is about to start at one point in history, it may have a start similar to what we see to happen right now. Or any other scenario of course. This one works too. Let remember Russo-Japanese war of 1905 that according to some historians marked a turning point for Japan: a "third world country" until that time to win over an European colonial empire for a first time ever, and to become a world power until WW2. Of course that is far in history, but the countries are the same, the region is the same, much of the tensions are reminiscent of the past repeated in modern times (China -Japan, Korea etc). Someone (Putin) may have decided to start it in that way, not another equivalent one (i.e. Middle Eastern, East European, or Cuban crisis). In 2008 the world barely escaped WW3 in the Georgian crisis. So I don't take it lightly that 1/4 of the Russian army (or so) including nuclear units are just thrown into some senseless drill on a map that most US people don't know where it is at.

Putin isn't that stupid. His dog is the middle east. His cards are on Syria. Clark and Cam Rhan Bay are reactivating to support our pivot from the middle east to the pacific. Both countries are quite pleased to see us oppose the big bad dragon who is drunk off of the cash they got from taking over Hong Kong. This is all white world however. Snowden's run is a deliberate distraction but we have yet to see exactly what for.

Perhaps Putin wants the world to think he isn't that stupid and it is just another drill. He would like to be so at the time when the real WW3 will start.

If a strategic decision for starting the real nuclear WW3 is made anytime in the last decade, Putin(his circle of aides) will choose the best conditions and timing for Themselves to make it reality, not the best conditions for USA. The rest is policy and delusional moves. The truth is we don't know their plans and which scenario would have been chosen to materialize, or when if ever.

I think this scenario works, although most likely it will end as a drill a week later. 160,000 make about 16% of the Russian army personnel, in one of the 4 military districts stretching on territory from Siberia to Kamchatka. The only potential adversary of Russia in that region (besides Alaska) is Japan. The drills are exactly around Northern Japan, not deep in Siberia, not in Kamchaka. The drills do not endanger Alaska at this moment, they endanger Japan.

Will USA react to that if an accident happens between the Russian forces and the Japanese fighters? Accidents do happen as we know, as between US and Chinese planes in 2001.

Moreover, the tensions between China and Japan are at all times height after the end of WW2. Japan warned China that accidents might lead to bigger confrontation about the disputed islands. All that put together, plus the tensions on the Korean peninsula, and it could be well the start of WW3.

If that happens in real case scenario, we will hear the news some 5 min - 30 min later on CNN. Depending on how big the news is.

Putin arrived in South Sakhalin to observe the final drills. Perhaps they will turn to be what they are - the biggest drills but nothing more. One more chance for the world peace? I just don't know. News like that should take the headlines, and they are certainly the headlines in the Pentagon.

I think when/if WWIII does start it will begin with a spark in a seemingly unimportant area, alliances will be tripped and I would not bet on just who will be on one side or the other - something like the way WWI looked - Archduke assassinated in Serbia turned into war in France and Russia. You know the Czar and the Kaiser were first cousins and supposedly had a close relationship - didn't stop them bashing each other to death.

This coming war is going to look something like WWI - I think - with strange bedfellows.

No country wants a WWIII - it will start with some kind of incidental situation that escalates into it. I also think that white paper Japan issued last week is going to prove important in this mix.

The reasons for WWIII are already well known. It has been planned in advance and there is nothing accidental about it.

Iraq has been sabotaged. Now US wants to get involved in Syria.

Israel is worried about Iran crossing a red line on enrichment. It may act before this year is out.

Egypt is in turmoil primarily due to demographic factors.

Looks like whole middle-east on fire by early next year.
