Thing is, the security services knew the guy, and tried to recruit him at one point, but until he goes out and actually does something, how on earth does anyone know what his intentions are?

This is where I come back to the pre-cogs and Minority Report.

None of us are inside someone else's head. We don't know what they are going to do at any given time. Some people - as is evident on this thread (possibly me included) - are loudmouthed keyboard warriors or pub talkers or ignorant knuckle draggers who will boldy say something and then run away should they ever be asked to back it up.

Others will go postal quietly, without the slightest hint of a trigger.

So, there is the fallacy of demanding people are "outed". It's not feasible. And given the number of genocidal maniacs posting on ATS who seem to routinely call for the "glassification" of whichever country has their ire at a given time, if it happened, who would I have to debate with?

Careful Cayla. You'll be stereotyped. All Irish Catholics are terrorists, and every single person in Ireland needs to apologise to me for trying to blow me up twice in Warrington and Manchester.

Not true, of course (although the bombing bit is), but that is, after all, the logic at play here, see?

And just a little article here, to head off some of the claims that are being made.

“Perhaps contrary to popular perception, … Christian immigrants outnumber Muslim immigrants in the European Union as a whole,” the report said, indirectly referring to far-right parties that have long campaigned against Muslim newcomers.

life.nationalpost.com...

And maybe this interactive map puts more of a lie to claims as well

You really haven't watched BBC or Sky News have you or any of the videos? you can see two attackers you can see pictures and there's even a woman who was a scout who was talking to one of the attackers to focus his attention on her rather than letting him wave a knife at everyone else. You clearly haven't seen witness statements or the video recorded of one of the attackers with a meat cleaver and a knife. it wasn't confirmed that he was a soldier until the day after. There were suspicions that he was a soldier because it happened close to the Woolwich barracks and he was wearing a Help for Heroes Tshirt but they never said oh they definitely killed a soldier. It was always it has not been confirmed yet whether the victim was a serving officer with the British army.

How?

By allowing our politicians to kowtow to their masters (whomever they may be...) without repercussions.

We allow them to act in manners that are contrary to our interests. Our interests. Not the interests of some multinational conglomerate.

That's how you're responsible. So am I. So is everyone who hasn't bothered to say "no".

I've seen it here before Nef. Muslim's decry atrocities and some say, "It isn't enough." Logic can not fly in the face of bigotry. Not for those that hate in any case.

Until we deal with radical Muslims, we as a society must live with Islamic terrorism.

Moderate Muslims condemning the chopping of a soldiers head off is something to be praised.

Unfortunately, we still have the radicals in our midst's.

There have been Christians that have bombed abortion clinics and have been violent and killed people for their religious beliefs. Does that mean all Christians bomb abortion clinics, and, should all Christians be out in the streets condemning every bad thing a Christian does?

I'm not Irish though or Catholic you could ask my biased Sinn Fein supporting politics teacher with whom I got into several arguments because he kept giving the class biased opinions condemning the UK US and any other country that didn't agree with his views and this indoctrination was happening in a school the majority of my class seen him as a hero and believed everything he said and never once looked at the other side of the argument.

Referring to your post about Christian migrants.

YES exactly, the threat of Muslims invading is so superbly exaggerated its mind-blowing. How about the money Christians pay poor people to convert to Christianity in Islamic countries? Islamists pouring into Western countries and becoming hardline Islamists for the majority is simply not the case. "Christian Missionaries And Their Obsession With Conversion" www.abovetopsecret.com... My point being is Muslims have just as much individual thinking as they do collective just like anyone else.

Well I tend to speak out in reality too got me into trouble many times but I don't like to just stand around and watch something happen without trying to prevent something from happening. Most of my family is like that they never say anything and then when I do I come across as the b1tch because I am the only person who speaks out. So like I said I understand the fear but if you know something is going to happen and you sit around and watch it happen you are just as guilty as the person who has done it.

Good on you for bring this up, Neformore.

There has been a lot of open racism on ATS lately.

People are using this incident to justify their mistrust of a part of the community.

An extremist view is an extremist view, no matter what side of the argument one is on.

One will point to abu ghraib and say "look!" the western imperial forces!

Another points to this and says "look!" the crayzy moslems!

When people marched in Northern Ireland to protest against sectarian killings,

they wern't saying "sorry"

They were saying "This should never happen"

So were these people. Nothing more, nothing less.

97% of people who use selected statistics to "empirically" back up their argument

have already lost the argument and feel the need for back-up in the form of statistics.

Genetics is another good one!

With genetics and statistics, one can appear intelligent and not really a rascist,

because who can argue with a statistic? Well, you would need another statistic for that!

And who really cares what a selected group of people think?

That doesn't prove any argument.

Ah, the wonderful world of academia... I miss it so...

I was, once upon a time, a political science major... But when teachers, much like the one you just described, began to resemble mouthpieces for various movements, I moved on.

It seems you don't know the difference between a race and a religion.

Anyway to the point. Muslims lie when it is in their interest to do so and “Allah” will not hold them accountable for lying when it is beneficial to the cause of Islam. They can lie without any guilt or fear of accountability or retribution. A lie in the defense of Islam is approved even applauded in their “holy” books.

Europe is Christian...as a whole...so no biggie there. I wonder if that number is also high in Islamic countries.

Let's compare...christians in Islamic countries...Muslims in Christian countries...
