A passenger on the flight has just been interviewed on Sky news, and she said the two guys attempted to enter the cockpit a few times, and got into an arguement with the crew, and she said the guys started making threats...
They were contained by the crew.

Sounds pretty dodgy, although they could have just been drunk. We don't know yet.

Man, just let the guys come in and fly the plane for a bit. Atleast let them steer for a little while. How about just a cabin announcement?

My Flightradar24 app altered me to a PIA sqwack, but I'm not sure if it was a 7600 or 7700 as I was driving at the time. 7600 is a simple coms out, and could just be a missed frequency change. A 7700 is an in flight emergency.

Something is happening on the M6 too:

news.sky.com...

The M6 is closed in both directions between two junctions amid reports of a suspicious vehicle at a service station.

Warwickshire Police have closed the M6 in both directions between junction two near Coventry and junction four near Coleshill.

There are huge tailbacks and drivers have been advised to avoid the area and plan alternative routes.

A remote-controlled police vehicle is seen examining a "suspicious" white van parked near a petrol station at a motorway services.

So this week we have had a soldier hacked to death, a BA Airbus plane making an emergency return with both engines u/s, a PIA plane from Pakistan being diverted because of a passenger problem and now the M6 motorway closed because of a suspect white van! (Suspect as it was stationery, not hurtling down the fast lane at 85mph only 6 inches from the vehicle in front! Haha.)

Just heard on BBC radio that London Bridge railway station was closed due to a possible axe wielding man.

Not bad for a quiet spring week in a rural backwater.

Can not wait to see what happens this bank holiday, as I am intending going to an auto-jumble to look for some parts for my old Rover.

Please do not think I am taking all this lightly. These are unsettling times and should worry everyone.

The country is on high alert, but the M6 incident now turns out to be a guy stealing fuel/oil in his white van.
Things like this will happen while the services are attempting to prevent any crazy copycats/nut jobs who may wish to cause harm.
Bank holiday weekend ahead.Similar false events may happen as the cops try to keep everything safe.
Sad days.
But better safe than sorry.

I think I'll be playing it safe this Bank Holiday Weekend and staying local - away from large stations and airports and generally anywhere where large groups of people are congregated.

Better safe than sorry.

Even though the details are still sketchy, I do have to say one thing:

Absolutely outstanding response by the RAF.

Apparently two guys on-board were saying they were going to blow the plane up!

I know its the sun but here is a link if interested to read it... I'l try find a better source (for those who have no faith in 'The Sun'

www.thesun.co.uk...

TWO RAF jets were scrambled to intercept a Pakistani airliner after two passengers allegedly declared: “We’re going to blow this plane up.”

Stunned crew launched a terror alert yesterday afternoon after the men reportedly started a scuffle by trying to force their way into the cockpit of the Manchester-bound airline.

The Typhoon war jets flew out from RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire and escorted the Boeing 777 and its 297 passengers to Stansted in Essex.

Maybe i didn't get the info right but i don't understand why would they divert if they were only 10 minutes from landing ?

Stansted is closer to where the anti-terrorist infrastructure and resources are located.

Plus, it's a newer airport, designed with this kind of situation in mind.
