Obama is over his head as previously posted and needs to step down. His arrogance and lack of leader ship is so obvious to everyone but him. He is not one of us.

I don't know about you, but sometimes I get a little over my head, arrogant and lack the leadership to attack a particular issue in the best way, but I am still "one of you". I am a full blooded American with all the greatness and short-comings that come with it.

I'd be willing to bet you fit the same description you placed on Obama.

So what does "he is not one of us" actually mean?

I never could stand Mr. Matthews style of talking over his guests and never really allowing them to expand on the questions he asks of them. I've always wondered why he has guests on at all.

In a sense I am very happy to see him latch on to the idea that the POTUS is powerless. I hope it sticks in the minds of many who hear his words. That the Office of the Presidency is jsut a figurehead with no real power over what goes on around him. Just a figurehead to trot out and read a script everytime something goes right or wrong.

I am glad this is all coming out and I don't care if it happens to be a democrat. It NEEDS to get out there over the air for people to see so maybe this false dichotomy of team politics evaporates just enough for people to think to themselves... the Emperer Has No Clothes.

Since and including President Reagan all holders of the Office of the Presidency have done terrible damage to We THe People. President Reagan with his Iran/Contra, Keating 5/Savings and Loan and various lobbying scandals. Then we had President H W Bush go right on and pardon people involved in Iran/Contra including Casper Weinberger who was due for trial but didn't need to go. President H W Bush also pleaded that he was "out of the loop" concerning Iran/Contra even though his memoirs state otherwise after the fact. Then along comes President "Define 'Is'" Clinton with his lying under oath and obstruction and all the baggage he had with various sex scandals, ChinaGate and Whitewater. Then President G W Bush comes in after smearing Senator McCain with Darth Cheney in the wings and everyone knows how that two term Adminsitration turned out. Now it is President "I'm not in the loop" Obama.

Yea... Chris is on to something here and I hope that the dung hits the rotary air mover hard and heavy. We The People NEED this to come to a head and if it happens to come to a head on President Obama, then so be it. People need to see just how "Too big to manage" Federal Government really is and that the office of the Presidency (I apologize for sounding like a broken record) is just a face on the big Orwellian screen for the masses to jeer at or praise, depending on your political persuasion.

Chirs is dead on. The Office of the President is powerless. Let it ALL come out for all to see, most of all the citizens of the US.

Obama lost me a while ago, and I'm definitely a progressive / populist type. Obama hasn't been anything of the sort, contrary to many misdirected ramblings found on ATS. He's been a corporatist and capitalist crony for the ultra wealthy - in most circumstances. He's been as bad or worse in regards to civil liberties as dubya was, and that's saying something. He opposes the states that passed legalized marijuana (don't censor me - that's a real world fact). He gives passes to the oil guys. He's continued the ridiculous relationship with the Saudi royal family and despite the criticism, has been much too lenient on Israeli apartheid.

There are legitimate questions surrounding the bin Laden death (certainly something he had a hand in). The health care system he pushed through isn't really good for anyone. It's not a socialized health system (also contrary to some incorrect allegations here). It's in fact a forced corporatization of health care. He continued the bailout to the wealthiest people and banks that destroyed the economy. Dude, I could go on and on... he's been a near equivalent of george w bush.

It's unfortunate that people focus on bs issues that aren't real. These things are trumped up by the far right as red herrings to distract from the fact that they are equally complicit in all the things I mentioned above.

You are all being played, particularly you far right wing parrots. (tho, to be fair, the politically correct gestapo of the left can be just as annoying as they focus on issues that are also mostly bs)

Thanks for the post and comment. Also, I applaud you for seeing what Obama truly is, considering your political position. I do want to however, pick at this portion I quoted.

I would like to clarify, along the lines of anyone still buying into this Right - Left polarization (which really started around Bush's second term to pick up steam; to which obama's election only burst the flood gates open on:

Obama has a way out of all the (fill in the blank)-gates going on and the IRS one is the key. He just has to state that there was a serious problem, one that is going to be fully investigated and rectified so that it cannot happen again and until such time the entire IRS is suspended until further notice and that employers are to no longer withhold FICA taxes from employee paychecks. Medicare and Social Security will however, continue.

That solves the IRS scandal and makes him a hero enough that the other scandals will be overlooked. It would make Obama untouchable to impeachment proceedings because all he has to say is that corrupt forces are trying to remove him to reestablish the IRS.

It is a perfect out politically. And would continue his wrecking of the US due to loss of income for the budget. Will it happen? Nope, because the Federal Reserve would be forced to admit that the Income Tax is how the debt is paid on the borrowing of the Federal Reserve's Notes. And that little secret must never become public knowledge.

Obama could save himself, but has to take the hit and roll the dice as to if he loses the Presidency over it. Sad that he could be a hero and return true freedom to this country, but despite the size of his ego, I doubt he has the fortitude to do it. Because the real PTB would put him through absolute hell over it if he tried.

Funny thing is, that I never like Obama, but I still will give him the way out of his troubles if he thinks he is man enough to do it.

This is just you speaking hypothetically right?

Because I went and looked around for something like this and found nothing indicating the IRS was even being considered for a temporary suspension.

That would mean rather than Obama being worried himself, it would be his advisers and similar who are worried. They are the ones who plot all day and night, and craft all of these plans and crazy legislation and schemes etc.

That is my solution to give Obama a "Get Out Of Jail Impeachment Free" card.

The Income Tax is the most detrimental tax to stable employment because your employer matches what is withdrawn from your check. Ending it "temporarily" would increase hiring, increase consumer spending and boost GDP super fast. Plus the side effect of "getting a raise" would have every working person ecstatic enough to forgive his other criminal acts, especially if he hammered home the idea that the taxes would return if he were removed from office. It would be political suicide for anyone to try. Hence the perfect solution.

But he can't do it because the Fed would demand the debt to be settled here and now.

that Chris Mathews rant will always be available for future use as 'proof' that the NEWS and Commentary are not always one-sided

so, MSNBC will have gravitas...no matter which way the outcomes of the investigations on 'no-man- left-behind' of Benghazi-gate......... or the freezing-out the Tea-Party of IRS-gate....among the growing handful of 'crisis' that are being uncovered as being germinated by the Øbama administration


(heck... the man's whole life was a series of manipulations of half-truths as he sought to benefit from either having or not having american citizenship...all thoughout his developing years and as a college student both as a disadvantaged foreign student then as a minority american... the chaotic nature of his growing up to be Senator (a road fraught with lies) did indeed teach him that 'You did not build this..' I think we are ripe for a false flag event, so Obama can "come to the rescue." Stuff like this appears, atleast to me, as precursory events so MSM can come back out of the shadows yelling, "LOOK WE ARENT BIASED!" (as they snicker in the other direction).

We are certainly ripe for the picking, between Iran-Israel, Syria, China, gold going BOOM, FED soon backing off their hedges and bonds on the market, and a plethora of US scandals with this administration and a slew of alphabet organisations.

Also, I can't believe you fine ATS folks are *STILL* hammering on about right this, left that. Right = Left = Democrat = Republican. ====== Establishment.
