So let's just do a summary here,
3 possible perps involved,
2 are dead and
1 has "self inflicted" wound to neck and can't talk.

If he really died in their custody we have only two options I can see:

1) Total complete negligence and irresponsibility.

or

2) Politically motivated government sponsored murder.

He did not "die in custody" as you are suggesting, he was being interviwed by the FBI when something supposedly caused one FBI agent to feel threatened.

Without you actually being there you have no idea what happened, and you are jumping to conclusions.

All we know is that this young man was being interviewed by the FBI in connection to the bombing, he made plans to leave the country, they went to see him again and he was shot...

Now, tell me, if he needed to be "silenced" in some way by some suspicious group of people, why didn't he find himself falling in front of a bus? Why didn't he die from carbon monoxide poisoning? Why didn't he "commit suicide"?

If an agency wants to silence someone they don't do it with their damned name attached to it! They would do it from a distance, so that they could not be blamed and would not get any attention from it.

The idea that they would just walk in and shoot someone is so stupid I'm surprised people here support that idea at all.

They said what happened. They were trying to force him to sign a fake confession, since he didn't they got angry and shot him and then accused him of having had a knife...after he is dead and can't say anything. Says that right here.

Ibragim Todashev, who was shot and killed at the Windhover condominium complex near Kirkman Avenue and Vineland Road, was "about to sign a statement" admitting to a role, along with Boston Marathon bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev, in an unsolved triple-murder in Massachusetts in 2011, two people with direct knowledge of the case told ABC News. Todashev "just went crazy," and pulled a knife during his interview with the FBI, said state and federal law enforcement officials.

Theses "Staties" (State Police), way down in Florida, are actually 2 Massachusetts State Police Troopers.
- Attending with the FBI agent, along with "other law enforcement personnel."

In this latest ABC News article (w/video) the reporter places in doubt the FBI agent as the shooter - meaning that its possible that the "Statie" shot him because he was a threat, and the fact that there "might" have been a knife involved. Nothing is sure here as to initial statements so it appears that the FBI has been putting out misleading info - aka disinfo - from the very start. Surprise, surprise.

Ok since we don't know anything let's pretend a wild scenario.

Let's say the FBI let the guy go, but was still suspicious for legit reasons. And had an agent trail him after they released him to see where he would go and what he would do.

Let's say the agent followed him to a 'safe house' where he went to do something to hide evidence, or tip associates off to the dragnet coming down on them.

Let's say the agent confronted the guy red handed, and said 'freeze FBI'!

And let's say the suspect then pulled a gun and started firing in desperation. And the FBI agent put him down in self-defense.

Let's assume this rare scenario for a moment:

What happened was still most likely the wrong decision because he should have called for backup instead of confronting the suspect alone. Things have to be done by the book for many good reasons.

Let's say Starsky and Hutch.
( just a little good natured ribbing) ;-)

An update on this story. I do wonder where the 2 state police troopers were during all of this drama.

So it goes now that it wasnt a knife, but a sword...

However, the source has since clarified saying the agents told investigators Todashev came at him with a large sword-like weapon.
The agent was injured when the table was overturned and the agent's head was smashed into the wall. The agent was hospitalized and received nine stitches in his head.

So the progression of this story is:

1. He had a knife!
2. Uhh, he had a something, might have been a knife, might have been a pipe, definitely a something.
3. Sword! It was a sword all along!

Easily confused, I'm sure.

Thank you for the update.

It's also very interesting to note that the blade wounds the agent was supposed to have suffered, as reported constantly in previous accounts, have now turned into a blunt object wound sustained from 'bumping his head against the wall'.

I guess that would explain the boxes they took out afterwards.
