Am I to understand that that in all the years, in all the jobs, in all the rejects... that NONE of the people in the HR department at these companies was black?

What would it matter? The whole point of the study was to see the extent black people are discriminated against in the workplace. Black people can be racist towards themselves and harbor self hate. But clearly the majority of the recruiters were not black.

The lighter your skin is the more likely to be hired. Multiple studies have been done on this.

Its not just whiteys to blame here.

Who propagated the "white people are better than non-whites" mentality openly for the majority of the countries history?

I Have seen many a post on the net including ATS that like to point out Obama's mixed heritage half black half white insinuating he is not a true black...that maybe true from a purely biological stand point if you believe in the concept of race,but that does not wash with traditional African American social norms about who is fam and who is not,for love him or hate him Obama is a self identified Blackman,which is almost universally accepted by the AA communities,and while they/we did not invent the one drop rule we have long since accepted folks with mixed back ground as our own especially if they identified with us,something not even a Chechen terrorist can achieve among white folks in america whose home is the "Caucasus" most new world black folks have diverse back ground from all continents and displayed it's self in a multitude of complexions,so for us it's only a matter of degree,but no out right rejection despite shadesim in some areas,the fact that he was born in Hawaii and is linked to wide contacts in Asia and Africa is not too unusual for Hawaii or NYC or most metropolitan cities..again Black America is not a monolith despite what you have seen on tee vee.
