Pre-June 2010

According to Amnesty International, the Economist, Haaretz and UN reports, prior to June 2010, the following was banned or restricted:

Food. According to a UN report, importation of lentils, pasta, tomato paste and juice has been restricted.[15] Pasta has since been allowed. Sugar has always been allowed.[14] Soda, juice, jam, spices, shaving cream, potato chips, cookies and candy are now permitted.[16] Fruit, milk products in small packages and frozen food products are also allowed.[14] Dry food,[17] ginger and chocolate were at one point barred.[18]

Household items. A4 paper,[18] crayons, stationary, soccer balls, and musical instruments have been, at times, banned for import.[17] According to AFP other banned goods include toilet paper,[4] though the BBC lists it as permitted.[3] According to the Haaretz the following items were banned in 2009: books, candles, crayons, clothing, cups, cutlery, crockery, electric appliances such as refrigerators and washing machines, glasses, light bulbs, matches, musical instruments, needles, sheets, blankets, shoes, mattresses, spare machine and car parts, and threads.[14]

Reconstruction materials. Amnesty International and other organisations report that cement, glass, steel, bitumen, wood, paint, doors, plastic pipes, metal pipes, metal reinforcement rods, aggregate, generators, high voltage cables and wooden telegraph poles are high priority reconstruction materials currently with no or highly limited entry into Gaza through official crossings.[19] A UN report by Kevin M. Cahill said reconstruction was halted because of lack of steel, cement or glass, among other building materials.[15]

Fuel. Fuel had not been imported from Israel since 2008. While fuel is available from Egypt, in contrast to Israeli fuel, it damages the newer cars in Gaza and causes malfunctions. Israel allowed only limited amounts of industrial fuel into Gaza prior to June 2010.[14]

Agriculture and fishing. According to Gisha, fishing ropes and rods, ginger and chocolate, hatcheries and spare parts for hatcheries, were at one point barred.[18]

Medical material. Batteries for hearing aids have been restricted.[15] Wheelchairs, at various times, have been banned.[17]

According to the Haaretz, the number of items allowed into Gaza, as of May 2010, is about 100. Before the blockade, some 4,000 items were allowed. Gisha states that a large Israeli supermarket holds 10,000-15,000 items.[16]

Common sense prevailed and Israel was forced to allow most items [allegedly] but one has to wonder who in their right mind would ban child toys, education items and medical supplies, not to mention food.

Annexing land by force is against international law. When any nation does it it's wrong.

Both sides are guilty but way more Palestians have been killed than Israelis. The rockets of Fail fired into Israel are nothing compared to Israel's military responses.

First off, lets have a quick look what Palestine is.

Palestine was simply the name for the geographical region (the small strip of land were discussing), and was never a "nation" with a government of any kind. The last few millenniums its control has been tossed around between many empires and nations (never a Palestine though). In Jesus time it was the Romans, then in no specific order it passed between the Byzantines, Crusaders, and various Caliphates.

Keep in mind Jews had been slowly trickling in in significant numbers since 1850. After British took control Jew immigration rapidly increased (well before holocaust).

The Ottoman Empire had control of the region prior to WW1, after the war the British took control. A few years later they were granted a "mandate for Palestine" (named after the geographical region, not a previous nation) by the League of Nations (precursor to UN). Then Israel formed in 1948 or whatever year.

15 November 1988 PLO proclaims State of Palestine. "Palestine" as UN wants it to be called, has as of November 29, 2012 been upgraded to "non-member observer state" status in the United Nations. Despite this I don't believe the UN has threatened anything militarily against either Israel or the PLO, although attempts at military action against Israel by UN would probably be vetoed by US, just like China vetoes action against Sudan, were there is genocide and slavery going on, as well as starvation (refugees from East Africa are flooding Canada). The genocide from what I heard from these guys (I worked with a bunch of them for months) is not race based (although they all tell me how racist arabs are against blacks) but is Muslims killing Christians.
They also say the Chinese are supplying the janja weed and muslims weapons. The Chinese are obviously after the oil and other resources in the area. Obviously the imaginary border created by UN is not helping as more and more refugees flood in every day. The list is very long I'm told.

Keep in mind that Britain, the Dutch, Portugal, Spain, France, Germany, Belgium, and other colonial powers basically decided the borders, some names, influenced language, in nearly all Africa, Middle East, and not to sure of extent but had influence in all of Asia and South America, basically the whole Earth.


The point of all this, is to show Palestine is a new state (1988), and was not there before Israel in 1948. The PLO are not very legitimate, they do not have the level of control and acceptance needed to effectively govern the territory they claim. Why is the area so hard to control? Because the place is a crossroads, the majority are not arab they are mixed race. There are Jews, Christians, and Muslims, each with there own sects. Remember this place has been passed around and dominated for millenniums by different empires and nations.

Israel also is not capable of enforcing a ceasefire. The Israeli "settlers" most Israeli haters know about, who if I remember correctly are all Hasidic Jews, or Ultra Orthodox. They are just as bad as the Muslims. They spit and throw stones at secular young Jew girls trying to go to school. Women have to cover up just like muslims, must sit in the back of the bus and will be attacked if they go in the front, women have to walk on the other side of the sidewalk from the men. They give the same treatment to IDF. Theses are real life "Zionists".


Next, are you going to go to Israel and babysit Jews and Muslims and make sure they don't fight? The populations are pretty mingled, you would have to forcibly separate the religious groups if you wanted to set up fences, how do you think the population would like that? Neither side will give an inch of ground if they don't have to.


To defeat the PLO militarily, the Israelis would have to kill every civilian. It is the same kind of situation that the US and their buddies had/have in Vietnam and Afghanistan, for the most part they are fighting the citizens, not a military. The Israelis are probably counting on another war to exterminate them.

The PLO stands no chance militarily so they use guerilla tactics and politics, counting on the bleeding hearts to drum up support from the UN and others.

Couple of opinions:

Canada and the US should not be giving out foreign aid, especially to an already wealthy country like Israel who we already share all military secrets with and God knows what else, when people in our own countries are going hungry, are unemployed, our infrastructure is crumbling. Just keep the immigration coming despite unemployment (not Alberta but economies booming like crazy here).

Dubai can pitch their share of aid with all the money they save from their slave labour, all this crying about materialism in the US (even though they donate tons and are mocked for being highly religious), have you seen the way these guys live? A ski hill in the desert and million dollar cars while Bangladesh people and others slave away and live in terrible conditions. You think whiteys racist? From what I have heard, both arabs and Chinese treat them like ***t. Also no red cross drops, fresh water, rice, build them schools, Christmas shoeboxes sent away by thousands of catholic schools every year, goats, water pumps, agriculture technology, etc. Just genocide, oppression, starvation, and slavery.


Israel are not the chosen ones they claim to be they failed to sink the USS Liberty, which miraculously survived the attack by Israeli fighter jets and torpedo boats, there was no way to mistake the boat, and Israel did there best to sink it to destroy evidence but failed, clearly God was not on their side.

The muslim brotherhood will take over in Syria, and tighten its grip in the countries they have taken power in. Some sort of incident will start up and the muslim brotherhood and Israel will fight. Questions are whether Iran will go through a regime change or not before this war, and will Turkey (99% muslim, #2 Nato military strength, decent leadership) join them.

Muslims have no respect for Israeli religious sites in Jerusalem.

Israeli settlers have had outposts bulldozed by IDF.

Growing "radical" element in Israeli armed forces.

I don't know how to search for this, does anyone know where I can find a pro-Palestinian thread containing facts and reason? I should really see both sides of this discussion.

Its better than the wide open field that Dwight Eisenhower and Churchill made for the hundreds of thousands of Germans they killed, or the fields that millions of Ukrainians and Russians starved to death on.

Why don't you research a pro-Palestinian view for yourself? It would probably take maybe 15 minutes of reading and 45 minutes of you tube videos and you will be able to come back and enlighten us on the situation.

That's all the sources of information any of us have, unless you are or know am escaped prisoner (a real one not the political gambit like staged media news and rallies, remember how Bush had a small minority who hated Saddam to tear down his statue?) or an ex IDF soldier who guarded one of these camps.

Have you posted your evidence of them camps yet?
