ETA: this is my formula response when I have no idea what the job is. I do not use my machete for inappropriate and potentially illegal activities. It's bloody good for yard work though!

When LittleD is involved it is best not to know what the job is as she will also have you enrolled to do the washing up for the next 3 weeks...

Like the idea of the toecapped workboots though... great for kicking shins those things (when you are not armed with a rolling pin that is...)

I find them very helpful when having to lug heavy weight on uneven, or slippery ground. Personally speaking, if we are talking about using them for self defence, I would always seek the kneecap where steel caps are concerned.

But seriously... Sounds like some heavy work is happening in the land of the littled16 ...

PS: Now then Rodinus, I would never do anything involving plastic rubbish sacks, and an elephant. Elephants are wonderful creatures! However, there are many aspects of work which require gloves and rubbish sacks, yard work and moving house, both being a part of that list!

We are packing and moving the entire contents of my house into a 40 ft. Conex.
Bring gloves, boots, a spare moving dolly if you have one (hand truck).
I'll supply the eye candy, the beer and the munchies!
