Merry Christmas, Everyone!

I can't believe DarkBlade hasn't popped in to say hi to us on this special day. I hope he is okay.

I have to work tonight... UGH, so it's pretty much a typical day here.
We opened presents and had our dinner last night. The temps are in the upper 40s... feels okay. Doesn't seem like Christmas though.

Where did this year go?!!

Egg nog ?

Count me in

This is the first Christmas in 23 years I've stayed sober

Just taking a quick break, it was a pleasure to cook and serve the family. I led the blessing on the one day a year I pray and added a couple of friends in which led to a few more from others
.

Watching everybody open their presents is always a treat. But this year was special.

One of my presents was seeing my sister walk after too many years in a wheelchair. I'm welling up as I tell you.

Christmas miracles DO happen

May your day bring as much joy to you as it did to me.

Mate... i am touched so deeply by that... The best gift that can be offered to anyone is the gift of good health...

Yersterday we spent all day at the hospital where my father in-law is currently staying... our special gift was to see him off the drips and actually getting out of bed to use the bathroom and then coming back to eat a yogurt.

Warmest respects

Rodinus

Hi guys

A very merry Christmas

To our American cousins. May your day be as amazing as mine was.

Rod it was truly magical to see my sister walk, well more sort of hobble really and I welled up with joy.

I hope that your dad in law being off the tubes is a good sign my friend.

Hugs everybody on the thread

Oh Doc what's this jogging thing you speak of, sounds dangerous.

Rod and Cody, your Christmas stories really touched me. Brilliant!

I could really use some "comfort and joy" this morning. I am beyond hungover! 'Rarely ever touch liquor of any sort but yesterday, while sitting in front of a fire, we managed to snarf down an unholy amount of Grand Marnier. It went down so smoothly but today the just the sight of the bottle sitting on my counter makes me want to hurl.

Please, someone say something comforting? And try not to mention oranges!

Everything will be fine Grace! I was in your shoes all day Sunday.

Drink a lot of water and go outside and get some fresh air for a bit. As soon as possible get something on your stomach even if you know it will immediately make another appearance. Stay clear of caffeine or anything that dehydrates you....

Or you could follow the time honored tradition of taking the hair of the dog that bit you!

Hope you feel better soon! Stick with acetametaphen- aspirin or ibuprofrin will upset your stomache worse!

Special coffee for you:

Thanks mum
Lots of water mum and eat even if you don't feel like it

Luckily oranges taste the same on the up as do on the way down.

Sorry couldn't resist it

Thank you, Littled for the sage advice and special coffee. I know you're right about getting something on my stomach but I'll have to work up to that one. 'Opened the fridge, took one look at yesterday's leftover lasagna and had to quickly shut the door. But, I already feel a bit better just knowing that you recently survived this state. I'll try to get outside later, too.

Son, the only thing of Mum's you'll be changing this morning is her vomit bucket!
I just fed the dog and the smell of his food, well... [runs off clutching her mouth]
