new, no media within a 5 mile radius of the disaster area in Moore.

They do not want people seeing the rescue.

News9 just reported that all the children from the school have been accounted for, I hope that is accurate.

That would be remarkable. Any confirmation of this? (praying)

Nope. Their shelter was a hallway. Quite why you wouldn't build a concrete bunker under the school in that area is beyond me.

My husband and I were just discussing this. But here in Ok, most schools are built with one central hallway reinforced to act as a tornado shelter. It is actually a lot stronger and safer than most homes. Many communities here open up the schools for those without tornado shelters to take shelter in.

When we lived in Luther, Ok, the school there did have an underground shelter that they opened to the community. I am with you though, I think all schools here should have underground shelters, as well as each trailer park. There are way too many trailer parks here and I swear they are magnets for tornadoes. I don't see why each one isn't mandated to provide underground shelters for their residents.

4th, 5th, and 6th graders are all accounted for. They weren't at the school during the tornado, they were escorted elsewhere.

Reports talked about rock underground makes it hard to build in ground shelters. Most are reinforced above ground for that reason.

Bringing stretchers in, NG is there, victims being found. Too emotional for news crews to report without breaking down crying.
