Thank You... I was wondering if anyone else was going to mention this. Powered Off & no battery are not the same.

And as far as privacy goes... TPTB have had the ability since the rotary-dial days to connect to your phone without it ringing and using the mouthpiece to listen to everything in the room I think the term was called "infinite repeater".
