Hi guys

This was sent to me by my dad,
like all dads he sends me loads of rubbish when he can't get out on the golf course

But occasionally a gem pops into my inbox.
Thought I would share this with you all

Beautiful aren't they ?

A PENCIL MAKER TOLD THE PENCIL 5 IMPORTANT LESSONS JUST BEFORE PUTTING IT IN THE BOX :

1.) EVERYTHING YOU DO WILL ALWAYS LEAVE A MARK

2.) YOU CAN ALWAYS CORRECT THE MISTAKES YOU MAKE.

3.) WHAT IS IMPORTANT IS WHAT IS INSIDE OF YOU.

4.) IN LIFE , YOU WILL UNDERGO PAINFUL SHARPENINGS, WHICH WILL ONLY MAKE YOU BETTER.

5.) TO BE THE BEST PENCIL, YOU MUST ALLOW YOURSELF TO BE HELD AND GUIDED

Took me a while to figure out what the hell the old man wants

No doubt a new kitchen is in order for mum

Note to self: Leave tools at work

I take it, some students had some VERY VERY boring classes?

That is some pretty incredible art, given what it's made from! Nice catch. S/F

It's nice that your ol'man sends you stuff like that.

I rent my place from my ol'man so the only emails I get are: Time for your meter reading or you owe me this much!

Very unique creations

I never wanted anything from my dad but his friendship, which I never had. You are lucky.

It took 26 years before my old man paid me a bit of attention that wasn't picking me up from the police cells and a fair few more to earn his respect, I think the love was always there just being old school brit it took a grandchild to break the old geezer and actually hug me.

You're right I am lucky

From a racist, antisemetic (you can imagine his horror when I told him I was marrying an Israeli Jew of Iraqi decent) homophobe to a really cool chilled out guy in 73 years. there is hope for us all.

It may take a bit of time however

Mate, those pictures are simply astounding. The time, patience and dexterity required to carve those tiny creations just boggles the mind.

Thank you for sharing them.

I'm hopefull to stay hopefull. When men only embrace their masculine qualities, the norturing and loving qualities die over time when it is not expressed. It's definetly an oppurtunity for me to love my children twice as much than he never did.

Cool pics Cody!

Yeah, my Dad sends me lots of e-mails when he's bored or off work, usually in batches of 10 to 20 at a whack! Every once in a while there are a few real gems somewhere in there, but usually they are rants or more pics of "Walmart" people! I'm just happy he's still around to send them to me and when we speak I pretend they were all the most interesting e-mails I've ever received!

Thanks for sharing those pieces of art with us. I like number 5~To be the best pencil, you must allow yourself to be held and guided.

Thanks again. Have a lovely nights rest.

If I ever get it finished I'll post a picture.

When your kids look in your eyes they see the hope you have for them.
My son taught me that as a random comment

I was blown away, still am.

Great pictures cody. My dad often sent me on 10 mile hill training runs following me in his 3 wheeled car
....
....if he were still here now he would not believe the technology. He would probably be on his xbox playing call of duty and stalking my posts on here
