I just moved from the exact area where this tornado hit, not 2 months ago..........

My house was directly in this path, neighbors called me and told me the house I lived in was leveled........

How scary is that

People who live in the deCordova Ranch area were evacuated after the tornado due to a gas leak. Sheriff Roger Deeds said a Code Red Alert was issued at 7:40 p.m. Nearly 200 customers were without power after the storm.

Medstar confirmed it is sending three ambulances and the ambus, which is a multiple patient care unit, to Hood County. Also, teams from the American Red Cross and Salvation Army were set to deploy to Hood County to provide help for victims and first responders.

Dang man. Stay safe over there! I had a bad feeling about those storms earlier when they were closer to us. Hopefully they blow on through without further incident!

Like anyone from around here, I have no shortage of family, friends, and assorted loved ones in that area. Needless to say, i am watching with baited breath. That storm system was pretty strong when it rolled through here. And we are 300 miles away.

They are requesting that phone calls to the area remain limited to keep the lines clear for emergencies...just a general fyi.

You must be one of my neighbors as well!(probably not the same town) We got some strong stuff too, but not nearly as bad as the metroplex area.

Weather channel confirmed 2 dead so far.

I expect that number to go up the way they were describing the area.
