GRANBURY, Texas (AP) — A tornado slammed into a North Texas lakefront town of Granbury, demolishing homes and injuring an undetermined number of people.

The tornado was part of a system of severe thunderstorms that spawned several tornadoes across North Texas, dropping large hail in some areas.

Hoping everyone in the area is able to get some advance warnings and get to shelter.

* at 923 PM CDT... storm spotters and Doppler radar observed a tornado near Cleburne... moving northeast at 15 mph. Spotters reported that this is a mile wide tornado... capable of incredible destruction. This tornado has shifted its track and was moving north right at the city of Cleburne! If you are in its path... take cover immediately to protect your life!

On the fox feed they are reporting that another tornado has popped up and is heading towards the Dallas area.

Pretty crazy night weather wise here in the DFW area, luckily my area just got some much needed torrential rains

Oh my word, this sounds pretty big and scary.

My thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected in this.

Be brave, stay safe and look after one another. It's time like this I wish I could drop everything and be there to help out in whatever small way I can.

That must be sooooo terrifying for those involved in this - God Protect Them! All those old people, kids and vulnerable groups ........ OMG!

Update at 9:32 p.m.: And the Dallas County warning is back on until 10:15 p.m. Rotation south of Cockrell Hill looking potentially ominous.

Update at 9:29 p.m.: Oncor power outages have been spotty. Grand Prairie’s power is mostly back. White Settlement and Arlington also experiencing some outages.

any time i hear about some bad weather i always go to tornado alley live i used this site when that tornado went through wichita last year and was about 4 miles from my house. always up to the min real time coverage. you can also see live chase cams

Civilians are arriving at command posts, one with up to 5 bodies in their POV that they've transported. Crazy!
