Best contemporary movie monologues

As a few know, but most dont, I am an actor by hobby. I'm always looking for knew monologues to perform at auditions, and I thought, what better place to get some diversity than ATS?

So I ask, what are your favorite monologues from contemporary movies? Lets keep it to the last 30 years.

Just a note! My choice in this isn't to offend anyones religious beliefs! I just found the speech really emotional and powerful and definitely a speech to make one think........

My personal favorite:

Doug Carlin: Have we met?

Claire Kuchever: Yeah, yeah we have...

Claire Kuchever: What if you had to tell someone the most important thing in the world, but you knew they'd never believe you?

Doug Carlin: I'd try. [Doug turns on the radio and the Beach Boys song from earlier plays, and he gives Claire an odd look]

Doug Carlin: Nah...

When it comes to monologues nothing can beat the words of William Shakespeare.

Thats why I asked for contemporary. Shakespear is great, but it is not at all audition material. In fact, most casting agents wont even let you finish if you its old Will.

That Ari Gold monologue seriously cracks me up every single time. So good. Jeremy Piven is one of the funniest men on the planet.

i know its not necessarily a monaloge but its classic, i try to incorporate this speech into my everyday life, it happens rarely and very few get it, but when it lands, it lands

Walken really might be the best monologue performer in america. My personal favorite, he and Hopper playing off of each other like no other. Walken's use of props in this scene could be used to teach classes.

Tim Roth's end scene monologue in the movie "The legend of 1900"

While these are both not monologues I still think they are great sequences.

This is the explicit version of one of the best opening scenes of any movie ever followed by another classic speech from the same opening sequence. . It's still hard for me to believe this was his first full movie...
