I haven't seen this posted yet but thought it was interesting so I'll post this. Date for Aurora, TX UFO crash: April 19, 1897, Date of disaster in Texas City port which killed hundreds: April 19, 1947. Date of Branch Dravidian cult deaths in Waco, Tx: April 19, 1993. Date of fertilizer plant explosion this year: April 19, 2013.

You forgot a few.
There was the UT Tower Shootings.....Aug. 1, 1966
Columbia Space Shuttle Disaster....Feb. 1, 2003
Galveston Destroyed By hurricane....1900, 1915 and 2003

There are countless other disasters in Texas history, it just all sort of depends on what your definition of disaster is. Just because a few disasters struck on the same month and date really doesn't mean much. There are far more disasters that occurred on other dates that were equal or even worse than your April 19th listings.
