In comparison: The national budget here is 10 billion dollars (which includes free education (higher education, universal healthcare, government-paid pensions etc) for 1,5 million people.

Not to say you are wrong but you are actually giving DHS $45,000,000,249.......You missed a number there.....They don't need NOR deserve 45 billion dollars to get her to AZ.....Although they would probably try for that amount....

They aren't spending 3.4 billion USD on a building. They're spending it on a complex of buildings covering 176 acres. There are currently 62 buildings there. Ten will be demolished, 52 will be preserved because they are historic and can be renovated. An unknown number of new buildings will be built; the only one described in the article, the new USCG headquarters, will cost $435 million. They will eventually move 35 offices and 15,000 employees to the new complex.

The NSA only spent a billion on their information warehouse that can hold all the information in the world....
Is anyone out there seeing the absolute enslavement of humanity by the end of the next decade?

I mean, I do not agree with the price tag on this complex, but has nobody noticed that this ground breaking happened in 2009? This site is almost completed now, I think the Coast Guard center is all that is still under construction.

Just saying, while we were not in much better shape then, the current sequester is really of no relevance to something started and budgeted over three years ago.....
