Anthrax Vaccine Is this the next attack?

the us is to buy 75M doses of Anthrax Vaccine.

Could this be the next attack? Is this whats in the new embargoed Osama tape?

Have the terrorist had enough time since 9/11 to culture Anthrax that would affect a scale of 75 million people?

Why all of a sudden the plans for this purchase? What is the government not telling us?

Here's the scary part,

The company expects to begin delivery by 2006 and will provide enough vaccine to treat roughly 25 million people. The contract also states VaxGen will not receive a single payment until the vaccine is delivered, which leaves an opening for this deal to fall apart.

Project BioShield was a law passed by Bush in July that will allow his administration to spend $5.6 billion to develop remedies against possible bioweapons.

Take into consideration the Star wars missle defence bill, bioshield and so on, you know the world is coming to an end and we just voted infavour.

Lighten up, the world is not coming to an end, I do not believe that this is some sort of conspiracy that we are preparing for. The Government has to make all us citizens feel safe. With the happenings of 9/11 and the Anthrax scare afterwards they are just appeasing us by purchasing these antidotes to make us feel more secure. Think about it this way, we built nuke after nuke to deter other countries from using them on us, now if we have the antidote to cure anthrax and everyone knows this that will just deter any other country from even attempting to use Anthrax against us because if we are prepared it shows the weapon as useless against our population. Logic simply logic.

3 cows just died of anthrax in Finland. Most likely a natural occurance, but there were news a while ago that there are possibly some people with terrorist affiliations living in southern Finland.

If one is about to test anthrax then cows would be the most unsuspicious animals to test them on, since they may catch it naturally as well. And then just read the results of the newspaper without risking anything. Anthrax in Finland is very very very rare, so there's the 1% possibility with the timing and all to find this concerning.

I'm not saying that it was terrorist experiment, but the possibility can never be fully excluded. Has there been any similar very recent news in US or elsewhere ?

It might just happen that such an attack would take place, but how worse do you think it can be.? 50, 100, 1000? not more dont you think?

I would guess it depends on the amount that may be available to the terrorist.

If they have been culturing it since 9/11 there is a good chance that they have a bunch that could possible take out many and cause mass panic like the last time.

And while we are on the the topic of anthrax was'nt there a link originally to the terrorist in Florida something about one of them going to the drug store because his hands were burning before 9/11?

I just happened across another old link that says Iraq had thousands of barrels and tons of anthrax and botulism stock, sarin and VX nerve agents, mustard gas, biological and chemical munitions.

Now this was from intel given to Bush.
