Well this IS interesting to say the least !

I bet Obama hisself knew all about it too !

Verrrry DEEP.....

Lois Lerner, the senior IRS official at the center of the decision to target tea party groups for burdensome tax scrutiny, signed paperwork granting tax-exempt status to the Barack H. Obama Foundation, a shady charity headed by the president’s half-brother that operated illegally for years.

According to the organization’s filings, Lerner approved the Foundation’s tax status within a month of filing, an unprecedented timeline that stands in stark contrast to conservative organizations that have been waiting for more than three years, in some cases, for approval.

no conspiracies with this RIGHT?

More fuel for the fire

DunderHeads?

The National Legal and Policy Center filed an official complaint with the IRS in May 2011 asking why the Foundation was being allowed to solicit tax-deductible contributions when it had not even applied for an IRS determination. In a New York Post article dated May 8, 2011, an officer of the foundation admitted, [color=cyan]“We haven’t been able to find someone with the expertise” to apply for tax-exempt status. ((

Yeah Right

AND....

Nevertheless, a month later, the Barack H. Obama Foundation had flown through the grueling application process. Lerner granted the organization a 501(c) determination [color=cyan]and even gave it a retroactive tax exemption dating back to December 2008.

It is illegal to operate for longer than 27 months without an IRS determination and solicit tax-deductible contributions.

Here's the BHOF website:

and some 2 year old articles that seem to have been swept under the rugs....

(from May 9, 2011)

A charity organization founded by President Barack Obama's half brother is raising eyebrows, prompting one watchdog group to file a request for an official investigation.

The National Legal and Policy Center (NLPC) has asked the IRS to investigate the Barack H. Obama Foundation, which collects donations in Kenya and Virginia, the New York Post reports.

Abon'go Malik "Roy" Obama started the Barack H. Obama Foundation, named after the father he and the president share, in 2008. According to the website, the mission of the organization is to provide development programs for impoverished Kenyans. However, there is little evidence of what the charity has actually accomplished -- and the organization's finances have been kept under wraps.

Actually, a fast approval is not that big of a deal. I don't know where the Daily Caller got the information that it's normal to wait more than three years... but it's more like 2 months. If all your paperwork is filled out properly, and the IRS isn't backed up, a month is easily possible.

I'm not saying there's nothing wrong here, but the fact that it only took a month isn't, in itself, a reason for concern, IMO.

Applications that can be approved immediately based on the completeness of the application and the information submitted;

Good to see you back, Xuenchen !

I would assume that this is yet another Obama Administration blunder, that has yet to see the light of being investigated. It sure seems like theres a new story everyday coming out about Obama or his Administration. None of them merit Praise.
