This was a prank at a gas station that showed off the talent that mostly lies hidden in people.

How many folks have heard the best singer or guitarist in the world, in a pub, never to make it any further?

From this aspect I can see the importance of TV talent shows, though I rarely watch any.

I do like to hear good impromptu singing in unusual circumstances.

Tfw.

Thanks for that, this was less about the video,

more about good singers or musicians who we see in bars or on the street,

who could make it as an entertainer because of their talent,

but probably never will unless something like this comes along.

Like one pound fish man...

That was awesome!

When I saw the title of the thread I had a flashback to my teens. A friend worked the swing shift a a gas station, and I often hung out there while he was working, scratching lotto tickets and helping him drink the beer that he had "liberated" from the coolers (what can I say, we were kids in a small boring town). I always had my guitar with me back then, and after a couple of 40's I would usually end up playing my guitar in the store. I would ask customers for requests and encourage them to sing along. There were a few people who weren't interested, but a surprisingly high number of them would jump on board and sing away! I did the same thing a few times outside of the pool hall, and once had a nice crowd of 15-20 singing a very loud and drunk rendition of Poison's "I'll Remember You" that was unfortunately cut short by a friendly police intervention. Good times....

Thanks for sharing.

I used to work in a beergarden in gemany with a crowd of Irish.

There was a bandstand with a piano in the middle of the big beergarden.

Every night we would have a sing-song, making up stuff or singing "classics" together.

Priceless memories...

I've got a few friends in bands and I always wonder why in the heck aren't they big yet!! But yeah it takes time and that right moment I guess.
I have two cousins that are brothers and when they can get along..they can harmonize so beautifully it's amazing actually. They have pretty voices.

Nice one Tfw

Really enjoyed that, I still have the first coin thrown to me (or possibly at me) when I was playing guitar in a pub garden for my own amusement. I keep it in my guitar case.

Makes me smile every time I see it

that I ever got thrown at me in my busking days.

Did you know that the red hot chilli peppers started off as buskers in amsterdam?

I was trained by a master performer.

He was more into performance-arts than music.

I can only dream of being this good....

I have many hidden talents, but I assure you that singing is definitely not one of them! I do however possess the talent for concocting the perfect strawberry daquiri, can shave my legs without cutting myself in complete darkness and can peel a banana with my feet. I have various other hidden talents, but we wouldn't want to violate any T&Cs now- would we?

Granny please!

Stop painting me a picture of the perfect woman.

I mean, I like older women, but this is ridiculous!

Now, now.......you're going to make your missus jealous!

I could put you on the waiting list for "Next Husband" but it will be a really loooong wait. I figure I can squeeze at least another 20-25 years out of the current mister, and there are many ahead of you on the list. But I can teach your missus the banana thing if you'd like!
