The Minke whale population is over 1.000.000 animals, Thats not endangered species and nobody is going to notice if 154 of those end up as food for people with good taste!

It's not only about sustainability.
Don't you have any issue with the cruelty involved in this trade? These animals suffer agonizing deaths, and can take hours to die. Don't you have any empathy or humanity?

It's a moot point as they ARE endangered.

That and he's talking about the wrong whale. The article talks about the Fin whale, not Minke.

"whale is stupid" "human is smart" - i am not sure how anyone can call a mammal that has developed its own language and can communicate over thousands of miles and navigate itself over tens of thousands more - "stupid". Just because they remain in their own habitat in a peaceful manner, causing no detriment to their environment and cannot defend themselves against the violent weaponry used against them does not mean they have lesser intelligence. Humans are the stupid ones - we are already responsible for the extinction of over 900 species and tens of thousands more are now critically endangered because of our apathy, ignorance and quest for financial gain.
