Strong quake jolts southern Iran, 15 injured

www.usatoday.com

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — Iranian state TV says a strong 6.2 magnitude earthquake has jolted the south of the country, injuring at least 15 people.

The report said the quake struck the Arabian Sea port town of Jask at 6:38 a.m. (GMT 2:08 a.m.) Saturday damaging hundreds of homes.

Im not sure if the source is accurate. But as I look at different earthquake maps there has been alot of earth activity in Iran today near the Gulf of Oman.

They range from 4-6 magnitude. The day didn't end yet so who knows what else can come up!

Last month there was a quake that killed about 30 people or so. Could something be brewing up?

The scary part is how do these quakes play a role on Irans nuclear program. Could it give Israel and the US an advantage in striking their facilities. Or could it cause a similar "Fukushima" event?

Are you sure this isn't from the Israeli Air Force out for a weekend drive?

With the string of quakes leading up to it TrueAmerican would probably say let's watch this to see if this was the big quake or a preshock.

How many earthquake's have taken lives in Iran during the years, 2011-2012? Granted, there's a very good likelihood that many of them went under my radar, but I don't recall reports of fatalities with any consistencies in Iran during those years.

Maybe there is an increase in activity, something maybe worth paying attention to. Especially for those with loved ones in the area.

Another question while I'm at it.... Are the area's that have recently seen these deaths modern, or are we talking about mud shacks here?

Hey, they are finally learning to aim Haarp. So what if they destroyed a big part of Japan when they were practicing and who cares about that Indonesia incident. You have to learn by your mistakes sometimes. Sorry about that quake in Italy a while back too, you should learn to stay farther away from Iran next time.

Just had to open up a new can of worms to see if the worms were still there
