International action to cut greenhouse gases is on the way, a leading British expert on the environment believes.



Sir Crispin Tickell, a former diplomat and government adviser, says urgent action is needed because climate change is more serious even than terrorism.

Many in the US administration are "in a state of denial", he says, but other US attitudes on climate are changing fast.

In a speech in Cambridge Sir Crispin says he thinks the world will finally act together to confront the threat.

That's great. I'm glad that you would volunteer. How selfless.

Why don't you just propose we continue to burn fossil fuels? That could have a similar effect on humans as well as all the other living things on earth just as well as a few dozen well placed nukes.

I say we nuke you.

Of course not all humans would be eliminated, the elite would survive in their underground cities and such. After the nuclear winter, not sure what will happen (probably a bunch of aliens will share the new earth and help rebuild)
