'Armed and dangerous' Kansas escapees reportedly in standoff in Missouri

Three “armed and dangerous” men who escaped the minimum security unit at Lansing Correctional Facility reportedly were in a standoff with law enforcement midday Friday in Missouri.

The men Allen M. Hurst, 31, Scott A Gilbert, 49, and Randy A. Ridens Sr., 57, escaped about 7:40 a.m. Friday, the state agency said.

I don't know how much I will be able to add to this thread since I am a bit busy right now, but wanted to get it up for those that might be interested. The last link in the "related links" is for the Platte County Sherriff scanner where you can listen to everything unfolding.

The homeowners of the home where two of the suspects are holed up were not home at the time of the break in. They are currently trying to find the 3rd suspect. Negotiators have not made contact yet.
