I was in my mid- thirties. Arrived at my apartment and all the neighborhood boys were stomping through fresh puddles. They were clearly having so much fun that I joined them.

We marched around, stomping through puddles and laughing.

Then the father of one of the kids walked up. He looked at me, shook his head and went inside.

I felt sorry for him.

Looking forward to the first rain.

My son and I left school yesterday, it had been a bad day for us both.

There were massive rain puddles everywhere (we'd just had a bad storm).

He turned his puppy-dog eyes to me and begged, "Can I jump in a puddle, Mommy? Please?"

I looked at him and gave in. Said yes, and off he went. Two puddles later, he came running back and asked if I would play in the puddle with him.

So I did. We jumped in the puddles, sat in the puddles, splashed in the puddles. We were soaked afterwards and made a huge mess in the car, but it was so worth it.

The best part? My colleagues laughing and taking pictures...

Love of puddles is the reason I bought rain boots to wear to and from school Now I can have my fun, and not sit through 6 hours soaked to the skin. Win-win-win
