Google Goofs

Interesting is that Google's news aggregate pages seem to be suffering from some form of malady. This has been going on now since the wee hours this morning.

It depends on the news topic. For things you sign up for personally... in my case, North Korea, UFO, Iran and Israel, you get immediate access to headlines and links. But the more general ones like World, US and Science, respond with the following:

Yes, it has happened to me several times today. Just as you are describing. Though it was more frequent earlier in the morning.

May I ask how this is remotely a breaking news current event?

The news is breaking.
I mean, the news is broken.

Google probably wants to know your specific interests so it makes the general news non-accessible. I don't use it, myself.
