Humans cannot govern themselves.

The power corrupts us

A.I. with Humans could govern, but not one or the other.

Transhumanism is the future, or the future will naturally be machine.

Humanity will always be obsolete when we cannot even do the right things needed to ensure longevity of our own species.

A.I. / Machines will always do abetter job of sustainability and evolution because they operate on a level of logic that most humans still haven't understood, it's very simple, do what needs to be done, in order to survive.

Humanity couldn't do what needs to be done, if it was the ONLY thing to do, because we still have so much inequality that given the chance, a person in power wants to stay in power, and often that means looking the other way with a fellow power holder utilizes said control.

Hence corruption corrupts on levels that would make Moore's law look turtlish.
