Let’s face the facts on an emotional level since that is where many reside concerning the POTUS. His administration is going to have to screw up far worse than previously in order to impeach him.

When it comes to Obama, most rational thinking is out the window when it comes to the media…which helps form our opinions. Deny it all you want, but thems the facts for most of the populace.

I’ll be the first to admit that I DO NOT like this Administration. For many reasons. Let’s just say that I think that this Administration is right up there with “Tricky Dick” Nixon, Woodrow Wilson and LBJ.

But he is going nowhere until his term is over.

Many like Obama because of his socialist policies. ObamaCare, anti-gun stance, etc, etc… Call it Ideology.

Many like him because of his supposed race. I always thought he was human myself, though after joining ATS, maybe I’m wrong. He could be reptilian...
I've had plenty of friends and aquaintances who espouse conservative values get next to violent when it comes to defending this POTUS.

He is the toe in the water, just to see if the water is comfortable. He is the beachhead. After the next election, we will see even more things that we despise but rarely do anything about, regardless of race, gender or political affiliation.

But at some point as history shows, it will fall apart. And I think that with the divide being wrought upon us by the media and the political entities, that time is coming soon. I really hope not.

I’m actually hoping for some non partisan no-name to rise to the top of the political heap, who speaks common sense and helps bring the U.S. together as a people. (I know…crap in one hand and wish in the other) And that individual will more than likely be assassinated.

But one thing I am certain of. It has to come to a head at some point. As a country, this massive divide cannot continue. It will lead to the Balkanization of the U.S. I’m hoping…just hoping, that is not what he wants, but nonetheless I think he is leading us too. He probably thinks that he is doing good, after all he knows what is better for us than we do. That’s also a very narcissistic trait by the way. Most politicitions exhibit this behavior, unfortunately, it’s not going to change anytime soon.

Maybe I should have put this in the Predictions as I see maybe eight to twelve years before the SHTF. People do have a breaking point after all, regardless of what philosophy you believe in.

Then there are those who believe that the POTUS is not really in charge. You are correct, it is bigger than just one person. But there must always be a face, a salesman so to to speak.

2016 will be a bench mark moment for the U.S..

I think he will set himself up as President For Life, and will do so by declaring Martial Law. I see no other possible outcome, and 2016 elections will be canceled.

I agree, no way he gets impeached. He is smart enough to distance himself from any situation, and will always have a fall guy.

My response to the title of your thread (President Obama is not going to be impeached. He’s not going anywhere until his term is over) is: that is exactly right; he is here to stay and do his job until his 2nd term is over.

I am just wondering...when the 2nd term is over...if people will try to discredit him again etc.

Oh, but of course, just as it has been with every other President before him.

But one good thing...the race mold has been broken. Gender has not though, I would hate to see Hillary as the next candidate.
Nor Palin either. I think that one has some time to go yet.

Most of the female political candidates are to far left or right, so far.

I think people just blow everything out of proportion to get their daily dose of paranoia.

At the end of the day, it just that, an end of the day.... nothing significant happened and nothing will.

Why have the attitude that you have lost the war before you even begin to fight
If people believe they have proof of things against him then let them have their day in court and prove themselves. You really don't know what the outcome would be if he was found guilty of something he may resign rather then be impeached, it has happened before so its not like its impossible..

Perhaps even if nothing happens it can be used against him in the future and to stop him from holding other offices or people voting for him, also it could help stop him extended his presidency past the 2 terms or erasing term limits.

If the world went with the attitude that don't bother because nothing will come of it then the world would be allot worse off then it already is.

On a personnal level, maybe nothing significant happened in your life, but in mine it did.

Hell...everytime I wake up at the beginning of the day and go vertical I'm happy.

BTW, I'm not really that much of a doomer, I just try to piece things out and see where they lay.

Coming up on 8 years and nothing on that front. Plenty of reasons to hate this administration, I certainly don't like em, and I'd be considered a liberal down there.

The fact is, you can't try to blame Obama for problems spanning generations that are finally now coming to a head. Sure, people sure as hell are trying.

Hell, even in this thread, someone already said he'll declare martial law and make himself president for life. such is the insanity on this subject, mind boggling really.

If Obama did something illegal, and some how forgot to cover his tracks as all other presidents have, he'd have been gone a long time ago.

Bush wasn't impeached. Bush wasn't blamed for problems he didn't create, I really don't know why Obama is the great satan this time around. He's a lame president, has done more harm than good, but he was elected... twice. He has low approval ratings and has made choices many people disagree with.

Yet, all they can do is wave a photoshopped pdf of a birth certificate, like that has any meaning or value.

His term will finish, the shock troops will NOT come marching down mainstreet, and in a few short months you'll be moaning about a new administration which is just as crappy as the last.

I'm getting a little concerned over the amount of people openly lamented the fact that an armed insurrection hasn't taken place yet. If you are so concerned that he's a tyrant and Hitler 2.0 why on earth give him exactly what he needs? A lunatic fringe waving their guns as they march on DC.

What a joke.

At least Clinton had Charisma. At least Bush was funny to watch when he was trying, desperately trying, to give a speech.

Well im mainly talking about exaggeration of the North Korea crap..Pandemic diseases, nuclear leaks and things like "they are coming for you gun".. in the end it was all just a exaggeration of a small discussion stuff, in the end everyone forgot about it, even posts on ATS calmed down.

I know what you mean by surviving everyday... but compared to what and who? is it the same as a iraqi citizen?

What we are going thru is called the "First world problems".... we lack so much of it, we feel the need to make things bigger than it is.

But trust me, i know you mean economic issues and unemployment and things like that as well.

Two terms. That's the law. 2016...he'll be gone and then it's on to the next rodeo. But what is set during the next 3 1/2 yrs could be pivotable.

I guess that there is a part of me that wonders, "If the old laws were bad, why keep them on the books and yet make new laws that contradict the old ones?" How can justice be served that way?

And this Admin has flaunted laws like no other. This Admin makes the Bush Admin (not to mention Nixon) look like amateurs when it comes to law. Everything get tied in knots and it'll take decades, if ever to sort things out.

I know....one learns from the other.

Lol there it is again. At what point has this administration EVER given you reason to believe he'd try for more than 2 terms? What are you basing that on?

and, for the record, it was Bush Jr who wanted to re-examine the 2 term limit. It was Bush Jr who, jokingly of course, lamented over the fact that it would be much easier if it were a dictatorship and he the dictator.\

Hate OBama for being a bad president. Hate him for stuff he's done or should have done. Don't hate him for stuff you literally just made up.

Whoa.... I call foul on that one.

How Mr. Obama manages to do that while also balancing American interests is a question that officials acknowledge will plague this historic president for months to come. Mr. Obama has told people that it would be so much easier to be the president of China. As one official put it, “No one is scrutinizing Hu Jintao’s words in Tahrir Square.”
(Source: New York Times, 2011)

and..

"This is something I’ve struggled with throughout my presidency," said Obama. "The problem is that I’m the president of the United States, I’m not the emperor of the United States. My job is to execute laws that are passed."
(Source: The Weekly Standard, 2013)

Now I think it would be silly to suggest the last one has been taken in context... or that he meant the first one, and how China's President later repeated it more directly in a paraphrase, as a literal thing. However, He DID say them. On the other point?

Democrat plan lets Obama run for 3rd term

That brain fart of an idea comes up and gets kicked around Congress every few years under different Presidents. It never goes anywhere and never will, IMO. It's still not a 'Bush thing', and I'm surprised someone would suggest it was?
