Hi there sandman,i appreciate you sharing that dream.I had a deram with a fairly satanic element the other night-this Vlad Tepes-type figure wanred to force me and some other to bring little presents to Satan-gnarly and very upsetting,so i can relate a bit to your dream.sorry you had to one of those! The one where you were in the Vietnam war was different, and intriguing, thanks for your reply.

Has anyone ever seen the movie 'the cube'.??

Well, my nightmare is very similar to that.

It starts off great and then you realize you are trapped in this endless geometric nightmare.

It's like TRON.

When I first started to remember until I was about 9 years old, this was the dream that plagued my thoughts.

Now, I wonder where that dream/vision went

I would rather have the dream back instead of the meaning.

On a separate note... My sister just had a sleep study results given to her today. It basically concludes that she has a hard time sleeping.

She spent lots of money to figure that out. Sleep study and all that. Where's Dr. Venkman when you need him?

All the bad dreams I have ever had have been about failure. They only seem to abound when I start feeling unconfident.

I want to sleep only when it's most inconvenient, and I usually never remember my dreams anyway. The ones I do remember are so weird I disregard them.

Plenty of psychology in our inner mines... Why should we mind it out?

Ohh yes that was sad,not a nice dream to have at all.I think some of our worst and most long-remenbered nightmares, are sometimes not the scariest ones, but the sad ones, where you wake up with a pain in your heart, from the emotions felt in the dream,i appreciate you sharing that one,Toastman.

I remember one from long ago, I was about three or four when this dream occurred,

I remember going to sleep at my grandmother's house one summer night, I remember opening my eyes in the darkness of the living room. I was asleep on the floor next to my brother.

I was awaken by a shuffling in the hallway, long sluggish and drawn out. I remember seeing my mother floating out of the darkness with a blank pale stare on her face. She then picked me up and stared at me with a blank dazed smirk.

She continued staring at me as we floated out the front door, I remember her stare never leaving me. I remember when I looked to her face it morphed into different features because of the trees in the front yard, it was not my mother.

Her smirk turned into a creepy grin when all of a sudden I hear the front door of the house burst open; it is my grandmother and my uncles. My uncles grab me as my grandmother walks up to my mother and asks. "Are you okay?"

My mother, as if coming out of a day dream, looks at her and says. "I am fine."

Then she walks away, but as she does her body morphs. Her walk turns into a limp and her left arm grows skinny and overextended. Her head stays in the exact same spot as she walks away into the darkness, at that moment I am stricken with fear. I can not move.

The details are a bit vague, but I still remember the way her body morphed. Still gives me goosebumps.

When im awake im not scared at all of the alien out of the film "Alien"
But when im asleep, I keep having recurring nightmares of it stalking me, I cant escape the damn thing.
I wake up everytime and my legs are covered in sweat, nothing else, but the legs.

Its only once every week maybe, but its still enough to annoy me

I had a dream I was a vampire, full on drinking blood from people's necks, it was crazy. When I woke up I could still taste the blood. The entire day I felt incredibly disturbed thinking about the dream all the while the taste of blood lingered in my mouth. It was cray cray. I will never forget the memory of that taste and am currently shivering at the thought of it.

I never put much thought in dreams,I believe they are just that, only dreams.
not much proof of anything coming true.

Evil presence? Seek the creator ^-^
I've had sleep paralysis before and bad dreams, after i left most of my unrighteousness behind it stopped. I believe i got it again once or twice, immediately i called on him after i woke up and the bad presence went poof. Then after there was one time when i had another sleep paralysis when i couldn't wake up and something scary was happening so inside my dream i called on him and immediately i woke up, no weird presence or feeling in the room or nothing, i just said thanks and fell asleep immediately and woke up in the morning merrily.

These are my personal most honest experiences, by the way may i mention. Almost immediately after i started walking uprightly and left porn videos behind (>.>;;
they stopped. Seems like there might be a connection between that and most sleep paralysis cases. I believe succubi might be the answer, almost certain, those things are nasty, and i do believe they are the main causes of sleep paralysis specially in kids, teens and early adults whom still watch porn videos. If you don't watch that then perhaps it could be something else, here's why, an evil entity cannot approach you unless you do bad stuff.

I had something recently, have had it before and put it sleep paralysis (well it was until I learn't to take control).

I know how it starts, you get that feeling in your head, like you're separating and falling at the same time, heaviness almost drugged like (being too tired in fact).

Everything went black and white, and then I felt like electricity go through my mind/brain and looked up, there was a triangular grid in a dome like fashion around me...I remember saying "Oh I understand now..." and then heard a malevolent voice laugh and I woke up...no it wasn't Michael Jackson in spirit form, yes I was disappointed.

This only happened once but it scared the living hell out of me. Even my wife as she woke me up as I was kicking her in the stomach, screaming. It was short but so surreal. It was a demon that kept getting closer and closer. But I honestly felt I was there. Not the flying feeling you get, but actually standing in front of this thing.

I could not go back to sleep that night and still get chills when I think about that image. Most horrific feeling I've ever had!

I don't know what my worst nightmare was but I do know I've experienced fear in nightmares that I've never even come close to in waking life, the feeling of wide eyed horror so strong I couldn't even open my mouth. On the flip side, I've fell in love in my dreams instantly. Seems my emotions are more powerful in my dream state.

The worse dreams I had dealt with me feeling pain and embarrassment. Growing up I was made fun and had a lot of problems with people. So, I guess my subconscious recorded these moments and in my dreams it feels real like everyone hates me. There are also dreams that I'm in intense pain. Some black ghost like figure kept attacking me and attacking as I was finally put into some prison cell and awoke with a fright quickly after.

I guess some dreams are good, others are scary, and others are painful.
