Waaaw, this is so awesome.

I really was interested in the bible some years ago, so I read it. Well, parts, I think I almost read all of the new testament. And now I reap the fruits of it. I often get flashes, verses of the bible that 'pop up' in me, which are guiding me, or which are acknowledging.

It's like my conscience has turned into the bible.

And to let it's content cook on the cooking plate, in the back of my mind, I get lots of relevations, about life, and what I am.

It is just awesome. The bible makes one so perfect. It is the best guide in life and really is food for thought.

Happy children we are becoming. And we will be so wise and creative.

I am really happy with it. Although I did not understand all that it mentions, after time, my mind ripens and it understands. It is a blessing for ones spirit. It is bliss. I feel bliss.

Everyday I continue learning. It holds so much insight.

My sincerest feelings to the Creator, of all things.

Ahhh yes the book which in its pages contains a deity who chose
to mass murder every first born child of a nation because of their
parents choices, i could never imagine a more fitting punishment
for someones crimes than to murder his first born child, anyone
who could ever condone such an act is frankly barbaric, but hey you
know to each his own........

So.....

It's another one of these threads is it? The old "my life was crap until I discovered the bible, now should do it too cause your life must be crap, and incomplete without the teachings of god".

Think I'll pass thanks all the same, dude. There's no space for religion in a full and happy life.

How many foreign home have you invaded? and how many Virgins were you able to secure for yourself? Did you kill all the male babies and women that had been laid by another man?

More proof that the idea of "thinking" and "religion" are complete opposites.

"I let the bible do my thinking for me. It's amazing!"

I'd laugh if it wasn't so darn serious.. with all the criminals masquerading as religious leaders and all the unthinkers following them.

Reality is random. Things are always happening and changing. When you adapt a belief system and look into this ever changing reality your beliefs start to feel like "absolute truth" when the absolute truth is - reality is always changing; then again, reality is never changing because the fact that it is always changing remains constant.

You merge your consciousness with the perspective of the bible and tell others to do so, why should they? Are you declaring your belief and perspective to be superior to all others? Even if so, superiority is also a perspective (an arrogant one).

So let me get this straight, you made a thread saying the bible doesn't exist then made a thread saying your conscience is the bible? Does that mean your conscience doesn't exist?

Did you get it straight?

She made a thread on the bible is my conscience
and a thread on the bible does not exist.

So this means that you got it straight.

One thread is a satire and the other intimately revealing... can you tell which is which?
So you got it right?

LOL so because i point out how flawed the "justice" in this book
is, you call me a witch more or less, i get a kick out of that, you
know if you sat and thought for a minute you might have considered
that i do not care for any of the mystical BS, its all a load of lies and
deception, witches could no more influence anything in reality
than prayer could........

Also i find it funny that you use being a witch as an insult, lets see
here, communion from the bible is a ritualistic practice which could
very well be considered a spell in itself, ingredients: the body and
blood of christ, then of course the ritual of consuming those things,
it varies by the branch you practice, oddly similar to way spells vary
by what "type" of witchcraft your practicing, prayer is another ritualized
behavior, many religions have their specific ways of praying or
many simply freestyle it, but basically in the end what im pointing
out is that religion is actually just different sects of witchcraft that
are the more popular ones...... so criticizing someone else for
something they are not while at the same time doing exactly what
your criticizing them for is not the best idea.... there again if religious
people would actually stop lying and tell the truth then none of this
would be a problem to begin with, funniest thing is these same
arguments were most likely posited when the debates of flat
vs round earth came about, the church swore up and down they
had divine knowledge and yet they were wrong..... hmmm interesting.

I bet its also wrong to murder innocents to punish the guilty but hey
wouldn't wanna use my own morality, people may not be murdered
by the millions if we did that.

I feel the same way about the first three Star Wars movies! When I think on the lesson of Darth Vader and how the way to the light is so narrow that one can easily fall to the dark side if not careful, well, it just keeps me on my toes.

i doubt there were millions murdered, that would make too great of a dent in the worlds population.

atheistic socialism and communism murdered 10's if not 100's of millions just this last century.

and you need to reach back how many centuries to dredge this up?

if each "murdered" person was tortured and then burned at the stake that would take a lot of torturers and woodcutters to keep the thing going. We would probably still be choking on the smoke.
