It's not hard to find quite a few people like the description you included at the end of your post, at any GOP function, on FOX all day, and in the US Congress/Senate/State Congresses/Senates/NRA convention. Your description does not apply to all anti-Obamians, but it sure as Hell does seem to be a strong theme.

Obama's right again. Those 'who question tyranny' are oft times only racist malcontents who don't like Obama for ONLY one reason. So, in attampt to legitamize their racism, they claim TYRANNY, TYRANNY, TYRANNY! Just a bunch of whining losers who can't handle the fact that society is changing, (whether they like it or not); that it's not 1955 anymore; that White America is fading. These idiotic cries of warning are just acts of desperation. Soon we'll all just laugh at these poor fools, the way laugh at those who think the earth is flat. Rave On!

Will you please read George Orwell's book, "Nineteen Eighty Four" and tell me what you think about his writing style?

Probably the definitive novel of the 20th century, a story that remains eternally fresh and contemporary, and whose terms such as "Big Brother", "doublethink" and "newspeak" have become part of everyday currency, Nineteen Eighty-Four has been translated into more than 65 languages and sold millions of copies worldwide, giving George Orwell a unique place in world literature.

"Orwellian" is now a universal shorthand for anything repressive or totalitarian, and the story of Winston Smith, an everyman for his times, continues to resonate for readers whose fears for the future are very different from those of an English writer in the mid-1940s.

Of course, Orwell was a socialist, and he was pretty much writing about communism/fascism coming right out of WWII. Not that socialism isn't cut from the same cloth as fascism and communism, but they imagine themselves as more humanitarian, even though for them, the ends still justify the means.
For Obama, the ends justify the means, and he has no problem enacting Totalitarian measures while at the same time extolling the glories of the Founding Fathers.
I wonder about people who use the race card to defend things like TSA groping small children in the name of fighting terrorism, signing NDAA, justifying the use of drones killing citizens, extending the Patriot Act and in addition approving a number of other surveillance techniques which effectively erode privacy rights, and regardless of what else was going on in the media to obfuscate things, the DOJ run by Obama's appointee did interrogate the Boston bomber for 16 hours before Mirandizing but the media put the focus all on Republicans. Obama DOJ also ran operation Fast and Furious, and there is still a lot of bad stuff shrouded around the Benghazi deal, and I'm sorry to say Mr Obama is not doing much for national security. He went to war without Congressional resolution(which means a lot to me, especially since Bush Jr at least had Congressional resolution and approval and liberals are still whining about the Iraq war being "illegal"--let me know if you still don't understand the difference), he signed away control of the American designed Internet to the ITU, and International organization, which I have a beef about because it was designed by and for DARPA, the defense department and I see no reason to give up control to international entities. (yes, Obama gave away control of the Internet to the UN)...www.tiaonline.org...
Obama has presided over one of the most aggregious usurpations of government, and that is forcing citizens to purchase a product or be fined by the IRS....that is the Affordable Health Care Act, and we have yet to know the full effects of that horrid piece of legislation.
The federal overreach is continued by him, and perhaps you haven't yet heard of the Common Core Standards, which overruns state's rights and literally takes away parental rights and even teacher control over local curriculum. Again, another federal power grab.
Obama also signed an EO creating a whole new division of federal power, the White House Office on Urban Policy, which in effect is an implementation of UN Agenda 21, a global power grab with an end run around Congress and the legislative branch....in other words by Presidental decree, Obama went around Congress and created policy which comes straight from the UN, an International organization....

So, if you want to scream and cry racism, go ahead.

Unless there's a grand conspiracy, what he said is true.

Government is an absolutely necessary institution. That's all he was saying.

Sigh...

...and even still, 4 years and .something months later, I still hear people praising every word Obama says. They quote him, and boast him on their personal pages...some of these people, my close friends!

I refuse to get into political debates, I've learned my lessons and have bared witness to worse ones to allow myself to go there, but I do think "dang, are they truly blind?" I have my own theories based on my observations of these people. Their intrigue and support of him are multifaceted, each person being moved by a little something different, including the color of the guys skin. Amazing...and tragic.

When we are told by anyone, that we should stop listening to our brothers and sisters, even the seemingly crazy ones, there should be a red flag that goes up.

My red flag is up.

Trust is earned by actions not words and given their actions there is no entity on earth I fear more than my own government.
