Prostitution is a business. Not much different from politics except that the price of being screwed is known in advance.

Very true! I wonder what the current US taxpayer bill is for climate change these days? It’s got to be staggering by now!

We certainly need a bill making political prostitution illegal! At least make them give us a firm price in advance before we get bent.

Prostitution should be on the down spiral then according to this democrat from california rep. Lee, since UNEMPLOYMENT is going down. Why the rise now when the worst unemployment rates were 3 years ago NOW??

Call it whatever you want, a joke, a *if* statement, sugar coat it with all the french perfume you want, still will not make this stinking, FEAR MONGERING, crazy women, smell correctly good..

She's wrong, and covering for her is just down right pretentious.

There seems to be a lot of members willing to be apologists for every dumb policy that comes down the pike. I can’t explain the propensity of some people to carry water even when it defies logic.

Starvation and poverty will cause prostitution, theft, murder and crap ton of other unpleasant things to occur.
If you need any proof, look to what happens in Africa all the time.

Look what happens in this country without global warming, it happens everyday right here in my home country, and blaming global warming like this lady did, instead of trying to really help, like stop locking up prostitutes, playing the blame game is childish.. This lady is nuts, AND childish..

Sure it will! The question is whether or not a completely fabricated scenario like man-made global warming will create starvation, poverty, prostitution, theft, murder and a crap ton of other unpleasant things.

I would argue NO; make-believe scenarios cannot create a physical response.

I take that back!! The complete theft of money as a result of the global warming fraud certainly can cause all of those things. They need to change it to "The result of our scam known as climate change will result in starvation, poverty, prostitution, theft, murder and a crap ton of other unpleasant things."

I live in El Paso TX.
There are vast miles of the Rio Grande that are utterly dry.
You can walk into Mexico via the Rio and not get your feet wet.
If you don't think the climate is changing I can't help you; but the Rio is pretty much... dry. The few irrigation ditches where I have found water in them are dammed shallow.

Elephant Butte normally has to release water to keep it's flood control measures in place; it has not had to do so for several years in a row now. In fact it's showing signs of serious water shortages on its own rights.

El Paso is so far below where we should be with normal rainfall it is not funny.

I've lived here over 20 years, things are getting drier and drier here. While I am no expert I'm smart enough to see the changes in the land around me.

You can deny all you want, but the Rio is damned dry; and getting drier.
M.

And I live near Dallas. We just broke all-time lows the past few days. It was below 45 degrees in MAY!!! So much for man-made Global WARMING!

Funny things happen with the climate but to proclaim that has anything to do with man is ridiculous IMO. The pseudo-science backing the Global Warming hoax is built on a foundation of lies, friend.

I believe you. However, that has nothing at all to do with my wife’s SUV. Anyone who says otherwise does flies in a private jet and steals our money.

This thread is disgusting, you folks should be ashamed. There is nothing funny about poverty... 6000 children died of diarrhea today, and will again tomorrow, it's like a 9/11 every single day.

3.5 billion people already live on less than 2$ per day, and now they say 3 million more will be pushed into poverty and may have to resort to desperate ways to stay alive such as selling their own bodies to feed their families. The jokes in this thread are insensitive and cruel and I wish you well in your comfortable western lives, I don't expect you heartless bastards to actually care about these people, but at least you could refrain from mocking the issue in this thread.

Regardless of what you think is causing it, climate change will of effect the poor and marginalized the most. The rich will do just fine. If I was poor and my country experiencing desertification and subsequent food shortages, I guarantee you I would do anything to protect my kids, as would most mothers.

Record low temperatures are evidence for climate change, even elementary school children can understand this seabag. You're too hung up on the word "warming" and not realize how screwed our climate is becoming. Desertification in places like Rio as mentioned above, ever worse storms and hurricanes, record high and low temperatures, etc. are all part of what the scientists said would happen...and is now happening.

Actually the ones flying in the private jets are NOT climate scientists (who earn a pittance) but rather they are the wealthy oil and energy execs who will do anything to encourage the consumer demand for fossil fuels and protect themselves from future liability. There are very few scientists in this world who fly in private jets and steal your money.

There are some wealthy people who may benefit from agw, like alternative energy investors, but they like most non-scientists should be ignored. The people who we should be listening to are the experts, the climate scientists, and they are the ones saying the situation is getting real bad.

i havn't met a prostitute yet...regardless of the weather they
(the females) all claim to be 'Escorts'

90% enjoy the pay for service arrangement...as they have quick cash for the daily addiction costs (smokes & other necessities...

i suppose the other 10% of professional Escorts are either Business Pros or are in the nympho or psycho sphere of behavior

i have had sorta long aquaintanceships with 2 Escorts here in SC 29577...both girls (does one call 27 & 31 year olds girls-ladies-women?) for over 2 years in each of the two friendships...
One is currently in a detox center for a treatment program for using RXs
the other cannot seem to get transportation for "out-calls" lately... maybe thats how global warming is affecting
the trade...

there are hundreds of female escorts here, but finding the one's that resonate with you is the hard part

That's not global climate change, it's a bunch of dumb ass Easterners who decided to move to the middle of the desert and have lush green lawns, brilliant green golf courses, and grow non-arid climate crops like ethanol corn, sorghum, and potatoes. It is also because Phelps Dodge and other mining corporations started pumping the aquafers in the 80s for their leach operations. 24/7 I watched them spray leach the tailings off Santa Rita for every last speck of silver and uranium they could squeeze out (you could see the jets of water from 20 miles away). Interesting thing, that... as my parents well had to be deepened 3 times with an overall aquafer drop of 120 feet of water over a 30 year period, the rivers also started to run dry. But by God the snowbirds need thier damn green lawns, the environment needs that flipping ethanol, and PD needs their silver solutions so the locals can go to hell.

Yeah, they've been in a drought for about 10 years... but my great grandparents dealt with those in the 20s and the indians have historical anecdotes about abandoning the pueblos of Mesa Verde roughly 1,000 years ago because of an extreme and deep drought. The Mimbres indians left the Mogollons and St Augustine Plains and abandoned the Gila cliff dwellings 700 years ago because the drought was so bad the Gila ran dry. They relocated to the area around the bootheel, where a vast inland lake sat with enough water to sustain them until they simply disappeared. Visit Hueco Tanks North of EP sometime. The petroglyphs show quite a story of consistant usage of the tanks during periods of drought and was a last bastion of water many hundreds of years ago.

The Chihuahuan desert is a lot older than our modern society. I get it, it feels better to believe that there must be something man has done to cause a problem and their must be something man can do to finx a problem... but droughts in a desert aren't a man caused issue. If you want to gripe about idiots who think lush lawns and cottonwoods belong along the Rio Grande Valley, I'll share your gripes from the rooftops... but there's a world of difference between water resource intelligence and conservation and global climate change.

Priceless, Seabag. BUMP. This is truly a low water mark for the year so far.
You're definitely in the x-ring with that first cause of concern, the economy.
I'd concur if the workplace is shot to perdition, it's time for some to get creative.
Or should I say artificially procreative.. too bad the prostitutes we supposedly
elected are getting paid too much for the screwing we're getting without this too.
This last position by more than a couple of Reps at a time is living proof we need
to first defund and dismantle the NEA before anything else, besides possibly
reprog'ing the voting machine software so we can play blackjack on Election Day.
Probably less harmful-- just forget about a choice if this is the best we've got; and
hope for a sixteen to stay on, if we can find a candidate that mentally evolved.
I can wonder now if Darwin's being pushed for the next government model.

The following is my opinion as a member participating in this discussion.

...and here I was thinking burying enough pride to pay for it rather than actually going out to a bar or event and trying to meet a nice lady would be the more difficult aspect of being a whoremonger. Silly me.

I'm saying this as a member who is attempting to discuss the stupidity of Rep Lee's comment alongside the fear mongering specter of climate change not as an ATS moderator, so don't hear what I'm not trying to say here.... Some of the non-challant responses in this thread regarding the clear lack of self combined with a repugnant degree of mysoginy, all of which seems to unfortunately be coming out of participants who share my views on the global warming issue, almost makes me wish I believed in AlGore's crap just so I could be standing on the other side of the table. I haven't seen enough compelling, independent evidence to support the idea that man is destroying the climate, but at the same time I'm not willing to throw basic morality out the window over the topic, either.

Regardless of the "why" excuses for prostitution, the simple fact is that it has always been and will always be driven primarily by demand. That demand be it the result of laziness, social awkwardness, lack of self dignity, absence of enough game to seal the deal without reaching for the wallet, circulatory imballances between the brain and the penis... whatever the cause is, it is the demand which is to blame. Personally I think it is entirely possible to say Ms Lee is an idiot, but also believe that it is a crying shame that there are women willing to sell their bodies and men willing to pay them to do it.

As an ATS Staff Member, I will not moderate in threads such as this where I have participated as a member.

Since some are swaying a bit regarding global warming being caused by humans or not, I don't think it is clear cut. I think it is both rather than either or. I know there are natural cycles and they are dominant, but that does not mean we have no effect or responsibility, imo.
Some food for thought from recent studies.

Take my stars, take ALL OF THEM!

Too bad I can only give you one.

There is so much difference between weather and climate - those who can't see that should ask themselves: "Was the weather in my area more extreme than 20 (or so) years ago? Well, I guess, we have a case of climate change."
