What ever happened to side banner avatars?

Ey Up

Just wondered what ever happened to the side banner avatars? They disappeared a while back and can't see a reason why other than saving on server space.

It's a real shame because I believe without them the individual doesn't get to fully express their creativity, individuality and strength of presence here.

There were some really really good pieces of art created in photo shop, very expressive. you could tell a lot about what kind of person or the direction of posts would likely be...

So ATS what's up with the loss of such a user expressive part of the site?

Your avatar seems to be showing fine , but you need to be logged in to see them .

He/she is logged in or they would not be able to post or start a thread. I am not aware of any issues with the avatars, then again I have not really been on ATS much the last few months.

Ahhhh! That is a very good point!

Not been able to see them over a year i would say. on multiple devices on countless log ins.

Are you saying you can see them yet I cannot?

look at your profile settings, I know there is a setting you can switch to hide avatars .

Why or hoW DID THAT HAPPEN? I don't recall ever seeing that option before and I certainly didn't switch it off, yet there it is... fixed...

Bingo. Try Tools > Account > Hide Avatars.
