Sell everything you have, empty all of your bank accounts, send all the $ you have to me ($will be worthless if this happens); in return I will provide you with a boat, a case of MREs, a water filtration machine, and a can of air. Deal? Oh, so maybe you don't really believe this then...?

my previous post was labelled 'lies' before it had even appeared. a software agent can not determine content last time i've checked so i consider this an indirect cancellation of my membership. the days of internet are coming to a close anyway, good thing i saved as much as i could during my active years...

So, in two years time when we're all still here can we dispense with this highly profitable nonsense?

Hehe...yep, must be fund-raising time again, time to skew those models and statistics... Kind of like in the Day After (the movie). The scientist yells at the VP for not believing him, but fails to realize that when two drastically different "predictions" come from the same person, it's hard to take him seriously.

I will be posting lots of recent events in the Arctic - evidence, not hearsay.

That's commendable. Could you provide some more information on this alleged White House emergency meeting?
So far, all sources reporting on this are just rehashing the bits of information from the guardian article or the West Australian.

The W.A. piece starts by stating this:

In a room at the White House next week, an extraordinary meeting of the brightest minds will attempt to form a strategy to curb climate change's crippling effects on the Arctic.

and ends with:

At the White House meeting, he and other scientists have been asked to come up with scenarios that will inform research program on changes in the Arctic and the impacts on Arctic ecosystems. The Arctic is thought to be warming twice as fast as NASA's calculation of a 0.8C rise in temperatures globally since 1880.

There is also nothing to be found here or here.

I wish I knew more about this meeting. I've been digging. Just found another article about it which raised some interesting observations. This one stood out the most to me and made the most sense about why this "meeting" has been convened:

"Could it be, he typed nervously, that President Obama is looking for a legislative leverage point, a hook, if you will, so that he can make a strong argument for climate action on security and economic grounds? If there’s one thing the Republicans don’t want it’s to be seen as soft on defense. Push climate change as a huge threat on that front (which just so happens to be accurate, as the Pentagon has been warning for some time), and link it to something as highly visible, remarkable, and near term as the first Blue Arctic Event in human history, and I doubt that even the Republicans would remain united purely for the perceived political benefit of opposing the President.[1]"

For all the folks that say "Man has had no effect". Please take the time to watch the following movie. Chasing Ice

It will provide visible evidence of the effect man has had. The evidence is right before us all. I truly think we have caused an acceleration of a cycle that should have happened over a much greater length of time. Would it have happened anyway? Probably. Will it now happen so quickly that it will be very difficult to adjust? you bet!

Oh and here is a link to an island going away. Global warming catastrophe: Island nation swallowed whole by the sea

This is from 2006:
Disappearing world: Global warming claims tropical island

Or this one:
THE MALDIVE ISLANDS WILL SOON BE UNDERWATER DUE TO GLOBAL WARMING

The deniers are fooling only themselves and I honestly don't understand how some people can sit back and deny the very evidence that their eyes can see. I swear that deniers are just like Obama Birthers. There is no amount of evidence that will convince them Obama was born in Hawaii. The lengths that some people go to in order to deny the obvious is truly astounding, and sad.

That doesn't agree with this...
www.alaskadispatch.com...

In the first decade since 2000, the 49th state cooled 2.4 degrees Fahrenheit."

Also, glaciers in Alaska are currently GROWING.

I've grown sick and tired of the climate change doom pornographers and refuse to give them any more validity. The Earth has never been static and never will be. Climate change fearmongering is simply a tool to control the masses while putting untold millions into the pockets of the planet's AlGores. The fact that otherwise intelligent people have bought into this crap really is fascinating and explains how other mind control cults like Scientology and the Moonies have managed to attract so many followers.

The facts conflict so much that I am not sure what is happening. The people I know in Alaska say that the glaciers they see are shrinking. I was up there back in 73 and they say that that glacier is gone from the area I visited back then. The people I talked to from there see the glaciers, I will have to say I believe them. Maybe on the mountains they are growing, in areas they never see up close.

There seems to be a change in the location of the glaciers around the world. This is very dangerous. Weight rearrangement is a problem on a worldwide scale. There is a lot more to this than just more water in the Oceans.

Because for every piece of "evidence" it is happening, there is other "evidence" contradicting it. Also, our ability to accurately measure this idea seems to be non-existent. The models never hold up to scrutiny, and predictions made years ago prove erroneous, etc.

Well, I live here and can tell you there's no way they're shrinking. We've experienced brutal winters recently. Record snowfalls, cold summers, logically it is impossible that these glaciers are shrinking... unless it is seismic/geothermal... in which case the whole anthropogenic climate change argument goes straight out the window anyway.

You can believe that if you wish, or you can look at the most likely scenario. It's been quite some time since Global Warming entered public domain, immediately fossil fuel giants and their pet politicians and pseudoscientists said nope, no way, aint happenin... and they've won, we've done absolutely nothing to curb greenhouse gas emissions. Watch in the very near future for their rhetoric to change to yep it's happening, oopsie, but look here's a free market approach to fix it... queue the geoengineers and the privatization of water, more land and now the air. Woohoo, good times ahead. Have fun navigating an airplane through sectioned off private airspace.

It's kinda funny. All the "evidence" that this is happening is accepted around the world. The "evidence" that it isn't is predominantly from America. Why is that? Because accepting it would mean that the US would have to spend heavily. Can't have that. So poison the "evidence" to your populous.

My goodness..so which is it?
Is it melting at record pace or growing?
What the hell does this say about accountability in reporting?
All camps are corrupt ?

And who knows, if it is melting we may have a
coinciding maunder minimum underway with our Sun
(maybe the Sun is sentient,hehe)
The C02 levels and global temperatures graph have deviated.
C02 surpassed 400 ppm but Temps cooled...

I am really worried now. Is there a way we can everyone in the US give the government our money so they can get this stuff frozen again.

This is really urgent. We all need to combine our money and give it to the .gov so they can keep the ice cold.

Wanna know what really causes 'global warming' ?

All the hot air screaming the 'end is nigh'.

Are people so blinded by ideology they think 'government' is going to 'save the planet' ?

Too funny!

I wonder when mankind will ever stop thinking he's the center of the universe?

Probably never.

My friends are in Juneau. The Japanese tradewinds must be warmer there.

I spent about eight hours one day studying where the glaciers are growing. There seems to be a pattern to it. I think the magnetic north pole moving is related to the changes myself.

The government will turn around and give our money to the same people they always have, the fossil fuel industry except now it will also be for geoengineering.
